I would highly suggest not going here, I went and both my eyebrows ended up different shapes and sizes. When I try to ask for them to look the same this is what happened. I always go to this salon for my eyebrows when I have an event and today the typical lady's who do them weren't there . There was a new girl not sure her name but she had black and red hair with glasses. She did my eyebrows and I was not happy with what I got! She didn't ask if I wanted them arch or thin or thick etc. Once she completed she left my eyebrows like this looks like I didn't even get them done! I have been going here for 3 years. My eyebrows have always been shaped beautifully and I was treated well. The last time I went there I got the younger lady who rushes my eyes brows and completely messed up the shape. I have never had thin eye brows! Now they are thin, uneven, and completely missing the tail portion of one of my eyebrows. She did this last time but I've been growing them out to hopefully come back so they can be fixed. But she did it again and was rude the whole time. Plus charger me $5 more than anyone else at that salon. I'm so unhappy. I've been coming here so long and have truly trusted them with my eyebrows. Two stars because I've been coming here for years and although nothing spectacular, I have always gotten consistent service. That being said, I am no longer a Khoobsurat customer. Today I called to make a same day appt for an arm wax. I requested 5pm but they asked me if I could come at 430. I said probably not but would try to come as early as possible. At 430pm I called to cancel because I couldn't make 5 afterall. Admittedly that was a bit late notice, however I wanted to give them a heads up rather than not show up at all. I was yelled at by the woman on the phone that I was wrong for cancelling a 430 appt at 430. I had to remind her I actually made the appt for 5. She tried to say they normally ask for $10 deposit (I have made appts with them in the past and this has never been the case) and that she was doing me a favor by not requiring one this time. I told her if a deposit was required I would never have made the appt in the first place. While I feel bad for cancelling with only 30 minutes notice, the fact that I had just made the appt hours before and have previously also walked-in many times, I didn't think it was completely inappropriate. Her tone on the phone was extremely rude and the deposit policy felt very arbitrary and defensive. Won't be returning. read more

Threading has come to North Seattle! If you don't know what threading it, look it up on Google. I grew up in NYC and have been looking for a place to go for quick hair removal that did not involve going into someone's home. In the five years that I've been here I have been to homes from Marysville to Bellevue and it wasn't a great experience. You always had to work around someone else's schedule. Khoobsurat's clean and the run by a nice lady. Didn't catch her name. The prices are wayy beyond reasonable. I'm used to paying close to $30 for eyebrows and here it's only $10. She's very judgemental she thought I was some Asian who have no knowledge of Indian designs and apparel. The only design we were told to look for what was displayed. While I could see pile of packed clothes in the aisle. I picked one design and went to trial room and I hear her talking to my friend. She was telling him that I'll not find whatever I'm looking for. *Boutique Review* I've been to India and shopped. I've ordered outfits online. I'm not Indian but have to say I love the selection of Indian clothes here at Khoobsurat. I've literally bought bridal attire to Diwali attire and I do not find the prices to be bad for what you get. I've ordered more expensive outfits online which weren't half the quality you get here. If I has to complain it would be the on the spot stitching. It's a little sloppy and definitely a temporary fix but not a big deal to have a tailor fix it. I came here regularly for my eye brows out of no other option - nothing else was close by that does eye brow threading. Fair price, but it's first come first serve. Sometimes I would enter the salon and find no one around, and you wonder just how long to wait awkwardly before walking aimlessly into the back yelling "hello?!" Not at all a friendly environment, I have never seen any staff member smile or appear to be enjoying their life. They DO get the job done eventually, though. This review is for the boutique and not for the salon (which after the reviews, I will be avoiding) I went in a few weeks back to pick up a blue petticoat for a sari I have. When I walked in, I was not greeted. The two women behind the counter continued their conversation. I had to stand and awkwardly stare to get someone's attention. When I finally did, the woman that helped was not overly nice or mean; she was just indifferent to me. She did seem impatient and did not show me any items, other than the petticoat I asked for. My sari is very nice and is of a very quality fabric, so when she showed me only a cotton petticoat, it really wasn't what I was looking for. I honestly felt like I was so unwelcome that I just purchased the petticoat and left- I guess cotton will have to do until I can find another shop nearby. I am married into an Indian family and own and wear a myriad of styles. Although it was obvious that many of their selections were outdated, I still would have liked to look. Who knows what treasures could have been found? She wasn't interested in selling to me at all. It's hard for me to read the reviews for the boutique and beauty salon because some non-Indians may only be exposed to Indians personally in those types of places. This is a review for the salon. I absolutely love coming here to get my eyebrows done. I have been coming here since they opened this extension location of their Kent. I have gone a few times to their Kent location but am so happy for this Bothell location which is closer to me. The ladies there do a great job on my eyebrows every time. I am currently living out of state, but when i am home I make sure I come see them. $10 for eyebrow&lip. How can you go wrong with that and they make my eyebrows look amazing. Decided to try this place because they are close to my house - I will not be going back. The salon was dirty, she did not even comb my eyebrows to make sure she had the correct area to remove hair. Every place I have been waxed or threaded they will comb your brows to make sure they are even, then remove makeup to ensure they can see the natural brow line. She was very careless. There was no posting about pricing of services, or anyone to greet you. I had to ask one of the girls sitting in the lobby if I was supposed to sign in and she said no just sit down. The owner calls "next!" When it is your turn. Basic customer service zero...also no talent. I will say "next" on this business. read more

I have been coming to this salon for years for no other reason that it is one of the few places that does threading and waxing, while being quite frankly cheap. However, quite a few other threading places have opened so I no longer have to put up with the extremely rude staff. They consistently talk badly about customers in Hindi and Punjabi. The last time I went in for a waxing, unfortunately I became one of those customers. It's extremely unprofessional to talk badly of your customers regardless of whether or not you think they can't understand you. The waxing job itself was abmismal. It was clear the woman was in a hurry and did not care if she was hurting me as she pressed hard on my breast as she waxed my underarm. There were a ton of hairs left but the woman left before I could ask her to remove them. Avoid coming to this salon if possible.
