    Rava Masala Dosa

I was craving chaat but didn't feel like driving all the way to Mithaas so my mom and I came here instead. My mom warned me that the chaat isn't that good, but I was like "how do you mess up dahi puri?". Well, this is the place to go if you want to find out. The dahi puri wasn't disgusting or anything- it just wasn't very good. I wish we just drove the extra distance to Mithaas instead. On the bright side, the rava dosa was pretty good.

I'm writing this as a common review for both the Iselin and East Windsor Khasiyat locations, as everything is excellent and standard when it comes to the quality/taste of the food and the customer service. Haven of Parathas - that's how I'd like to call this place. They have numbered their variety of parathas from 1-100 that you can literally play a game of closing your eyes, pointing your finger randomly over a point on the menu card and order that number of paratha. We usually order couple of parathas and a chaat item whenever we visit a Khasiyat. Hands down, they have the best parathas in town. How could someone consistently make the best parathas when they have a large array of choices to pick from?! They are business smart and environment friendly when it comes to the plates and cups they use. They don't give your dishes in porcelain or plastic but they use hard paper/wood material that's easy for them to dispose. But the downside is the size of those plates or cups. You have a very small circumference to work through your hands on the dishes and it's not an ideal experience when you eat. I'm not sure if this will reach the business for them to consider and improve but this is the reason I rate this place a star lesser.

Dahi Potato Puri (After we ate most of it lol)

Ordered for takeout. Dahi puri was very tasty (though kinda soggy of course by the time we got it home). My parents liked the chole bhatura well enough, and they liked the filling in my masala dosa (I ate mostly the dosa part which had a good spongey texture and wasn't so much a fan of the filling since it was spicy and had lots of cilantro which I don't like). Since this place is known for parathas (they have 100 kinds! Granted some seem like odd ingredient combinations lol) we also tried the paneer mattar paratha (stuffed with peas & dry crumbled paneer). It was good and not greasy like many places. Would definitely try more of their parathas.

    Dabeli !! Lol!

Worst food and worst customer service Ordered take out for Dabeli and got paid bhaji masala on bun; When I called the person on the order side was defending and saying it's okay to put bad review in web! Wow what a confidence; Frankie was loaded with lettuce and gobhi Manchurian with color! Only +ve - I survived with take out order and did not phase in-person nasty attitude from the person on the register; Avoid at all cost - not worth your money and health for poor food and really bad attitude

Amazing food!! It was my first time here and we loved the food so much. Since we were a large group we did try a lot of stuff on their menu. We had their makki di roti with saag and it was so tasty. Loved the Channa batura, tava pulav and the parathas, everything was so flavorful, served hot and very delicious. We also had their dahi puri and tokri chat, I liked the tokri chat more. Definitely coming back!!

Khasiyat is an Indian fast food type establishment with sit down seating. They specialize in Parathas an Indian bread that is traditionally stuffed with potatoes, radish, or cauliflower. At this restaurant, you can find over 100 variations of stuffed parathas. And if none of those suit you fancy, feel free to customize your own with up to 5 ingredients. Each one is priced at $7. I grew up eating parathas, so my expectations are higher than most, since my mother is an amazing cook. The ones served here are good, but I found that they were falling apart easily. They should hold together a little better. We also tried a few other dishes including a dosa (south Indian) and chole bhature (North Indian specialty). The chole were fine, but the bhature was no were close to what you would find in North Indian cooking. The service staff seemed a bit disconnected and considering there was only one other party in the restaurant, they were not very busy. We received a $5 gift card for future use, because their credit card machine was down. So, I will certainly find myself here for another visit.

Khasiyat has been in East Windsor for several years, being the 2nd location of the long time Indian vegetarian fast food eatery on Oak Tree Road in Edison. While it is labeled as fast food & the interior of the place doesn't scream ambiance, the food they serve up is delicious. I haven't dined in, but done take out multiple times. Despite an extensive menu, their specialty which they're known for is the variety of parathas. We usually go with the lunch & dinner combo (4.5/5), which is a great way to try out a bunch of their food items, including the parathas. It comes with choice of bread (parathas, puri, or roti), a dal dish (dal makhani or dal masoor), 2 vegetarian dishes of the day (one is usually paneer), rice, and raita/pickle. They rotate the vegetarian dishes enough to keep things different from day to day. Although they're not known for their dosa, they do a great job with the preparation as the masala dosa (4.5/5) we order hits all the right notes & is among the best in the area. We've also ordered the samosa chaat (4/5), which is decent, but tends to get a bit soggy & falls apart when you do take out. While Khasiyat may not be fine dining, it's a favorite of ours among Indian vegetarian eateries, so worthy of the rounding up to a rare 5 star review.

I like the chaat and paratha that you can get from here. Their lassis are also pretty good. I would say it is not a dosa place and therefore concentrate on what they are good for and that is the different chaats and paratha

It was first visit . Very genuine welcome by server. Quite busy but we got nice table. Server (Valen ,Edwin ,Richard & waitress)was awesome knowledge about menu. Help out with recommendation . Paratha was crispy and yummy. We had pani Puri & pav bhaji . That was awesome, more than I thought. Very economical value with outstanding food and service. Definitely I will be back. Highly recommend.

The food here is insanely fresh as was our daily interpretation involving copious use of root vegetables. In a Woodstock mood, I went for a mushroom motif inclusive of a mushroom onion soup and mushroom infused homemade cavatelli. You won't get points for atmosphere as the location is main street central and directly across from an Irish pub that is still serving the same slab of corned beef that they first boiled in 1991. If you're a foodie or even a fraudie, 12 Farms offers infinite pleasures and is richly deserving of a resounding five stars. Speaking of rich bring lots of cash as plastic is not accepted.

The soup sampling consisted of three very tiny cups that were sort of like an espresso size cup. The salad was a very small portion. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2. I hope the restaurant takes note and addresses the piints I made. Note that the entrée portions were good.

We sat by the pretty tree that was in the center. Prices were surprisingly reasonable.

The drink was very cool looking and a large size. She said it was very good. Our waitress came over right away with tortilla chips, salsa and a white sauce. The chips were perfect. The interiors are done nicely, with modern and trendy touches (which is considered quite fancy for East Windsor). It fulfills a much-needed gap as there just aren't many decent sit-down Mexican eateries with a bar in this part of New Jersey. If drinks with fancy presentation are your thing, then you're in for a treat here. They do have a list of daily specials, but their Taco Tuesday offering of 10% off specialty taco dinners seems kind of weak compared to competitors as those meals run $19 and up. Meals start off with complimentary chips and salsa, which is always nice to munch on. The chips (3.5/5) were served warm, and came with 2 types of salsa. We also got an order of the cheese dip (3.5/5), which was decent in quality without being overly cheesy and generous in portion size, but at $11, probably something I wouldn't order again unless sharing with a larger group of people...this is an item where they should offer a smaller portion for $6-7, and keep an option for a large size at $11. For meals, we got the chicken quesadillas rellenas (4/5), the pollo asado (4.5/5), and the vegetarian fajitas (4/5). The meals came out in less than 8 minutes after ordering which caught us a bit off guard, but all the food was filling, fresh, and flavorful. While it wasn't gourmet food, it was well above average and right in line with what I look for when it comes to Mexican cuisine. The waiter said we can swap out fries for rice and beans for the quesadilla meal without any additional charge, but the fries (3/5) didn't really have much taste to them, despite being crunchy. Service (3.5/5) was friendly, but I was a bit irked being overcharged for the quesadillas. It turned out they added an extra $1.50 for chicken over the $16.50 listed menu price for the quesadillas rellenas, which are listed as including a choice of chicken or beef. When I pointed it out to the waiter, he insisted there's an upcharge for meat even though it's clearly $16.50 in the menu. There is a listing for the quesadilla ranchera in the menu which is broken down by price depending on what kind of meat is chosen, but that isn't the case with the quesadilla rellena based on the menu pictures fellow Yelpers have shared. While paying $18 for the quesadilla rellena with chicken isn't going to break the bank for me, the disingenuous pricing will make me hesitate before returning and probably won't have me recommending Plaza Azteca to others, which is a shame because it was an otherwise enjoyable meal. I just wish they were more transparent with accurate menu pricing rather than resorting to petty upcharges and not owning up to it when I pointed the menu price discrepancy to them.
