Dr. Kramer is a superb Pulmonologist. PERIOD. My brother, who is also her patient, and has had more…read moreinteraction than I, considers her as more than an excellent clinician... a kind, considerate healer. Last year, I posted a review complementary of Dr Kramer's reputation, but critical of the unnecessarily and surprisingly rude treatment I received from one of her staff members in the process of obtaining my initial consultation with the doctor. Now, seven months later, I have received a reprimand from Yelp stating that "We ask that reviewers avoid commentary that reinforces stereotypes, makes light of physical or sexual violence, or otherwise includes unnecessarily graphic or offensive descriptions. In this case, we felt that your content crossed that line, even if you didn't intend it to." Of course, NONE OF THAT IS REMOTELY TRUE!! NONE! I have no qualms about my original post being deleted by Yelp. But I do object to untrue allegations towards me or anyone else. To be clear in the distinction here, Dr. Kramer is excellent, my experience with her has been excellent and I unhesitantly recommend her. In the course of ordinary living, I experience rudeness frequently but that would not ordinarily cause me to write a negative review about it. The rudeness of this one individual was unnecessary and memorable, so I did post a review about it. Moving to the present and to the credit of Dr. Kramer's office and staff, I could not have been treated more kindly during my actual office visit interactions. So kudos to all in that regard.

Both appointments with the physician started about 30 minutes late, with little communication or respect for patients' schedules. For a specialty practice, I expected a higher level of professionalism and organization. During my follow-up appointment, I asked for information on sleep position therapy and was told to look it up online. Rather than providing educational materials, a PDF, or even emailing basic guidance, I was shown a generic product image. I left without any meaningful documentation or support. The administrative side was equally frustrating. I had to follow up myself after my insurance adjusted the claim, and communication regarding billing was unclear throughout the process. While I understand how deductibles work and paid the amount determined by my insurance, the overall experience lacked transparency and patient-centered service. Interactions with some staff members were dismissive, especially when asking reasonable questions about billing and insurance. At one point, comments about patients being upset over deductibles were made loudly enough to be heard from the waiting room, which I found inappropriate and unprofessional. Most concerning, my sleep study results still had not been uploaded to MyChart two months later, requiring additional follow-up just to access my own medical information. Due to the combination of these issues, I ultimately filed a formal grievance with my health insurance regarding the quality of communication and follow-through. I hope the practice takes patient feedback seriously and improves both its clinical and administrative processes.

She commented back that other patients have problems so "she knows". I said "you don't know because I didn't get my chance to tell you" but she was stubborn and ignored me. NOT a very compassionate doctor at all, which should be required for patients who are sleep deprived and ill. She also referred me to an "Out of Network' medical equipment provider without disclosing that to me, then she denied that she referred me anywhere! Lastly, she billed for long, comprehensive appointments when she actually spent 30 minutes at the most and about 5 minutes on the 2nd appointment since her computer wasn't working and she couldn't type any notes in. She said her scheduling manager would call me in the next day or two to schedule another appointment. That was 3 months ago!! HORRIBLE patient experience & customer experience.

I was able to pick up the at home sleep study test kit in a few days, and the in-office instructions on set-up and use were decent enough once I supplemented that with a quick YouTube online search on proper use for a successful test and data entry into the equipment. But then the wheels came off! I dropped the kit off to Dr. Nathan's office as promised the very next morning before 11 AM. I was told that due to the holidays, it would Nathan up to two weeks to view the data and write the report of my sleep study to my John Muir primary care doctor. I was told that the study and the data held in the device was quite good and I could expect the report in due course and timely. It has now been three weeks since the device was returned and the data entered into Dr. Nathan's office based system, but I have no report whatsoever, no response to my inquiries, and even telephone calls from my primary care doctor to Dr. Nathan (that apparently owns a financial interest in this sleep clinic) have been totally ignored. There is no justifiable reason why Dr. Nathan should take three weeks to compile what is almost certainly a machine-based standard report based on the electronic data downloaded from the sleep study device. The delay is bad enough, but being completely ignored is perplexing and very disappointing. I will not return to this clinic and I would not recommend it based on my experience over these last three weeks.

I had a sleep study conducted February 2019 and received my results when?....... DRUM ROLL...... THIS MORNING. I have been calling this office for months, it has been more than a year since my study was conducted. 1 year and 7 months to be exact. I needed these results to clear me for a surgical procedure that I need and it took them 1 year and 7 months to give me the results!?!!?? How is that possible!?!? This is beyond unprofessional. Everytime I called the Sutter Health number and got in touch with someone, they told me that they didn't see my test result information on their system. This was beyond frustrating as I needed this test for a procedure that I have to do. So because of this, the date of my procedure was put off.... 1 year and 7 months later!!!!! This morning I called (ONCE AGAIN!!!) and spoke to a lady who told me that she would search for my name. About 10-15 minutes later she calls me back and said that she found me in the system and that she would be in touch with my surgeons office to fax over the results. She also emailed the results to me. This all happened in a span of 30 minutes or less. I believe the lady's name is Luyen. So thank you Luyen, for doing something in 30 minutes that the rest of your colleagues could not do in the last 1 year and 7 months. Which was sending my results to my surgeons office for clearance. Seeing that it took her just under 30 minutes to figure this out and I had been calling for SOOO SOOO LONG, I just HAD to leave this result. On another note: it is almost impossible to get an appointment in a specific timeframe. His office is busy and overbooked (as you can see from some of the other reviews.) I had to wait more than 3 months for my appointment with him and then another year and 7 months for the results.
