If you are used to your Thai food being inexpensive, please let me hold your hand while I tell you…read moresome of the prices here. And perhaps get you to sit down first. The Siam Food Gallery is Esher's answer to Thai food and if you know Esher, you know that they like to flash their cash. On the plus side, it is a beautifully decorated restaurant, with plenty of little corners for intimate dining. There are fountains in many of the rooms, and a patio outdoor section, decorated with plants. I once came here on a Saturday night when the 'entertainment' came on - a beautiful dancing Thai girl who twists her way around the tables and gets all the men hot and bothered. I am just here for the food (sorry dancing girl), and I am always pleased with my dinner, but I reserve coming here for really special occasions - there is no way that I could make this my Friday night take way. If you like fish, I would recommend the tilapea fish, which comes with a lovely fragrant sauce . Or try the soft shell crab salad with lemongrass, mint, green mango, apple and chili's. A lot of the dishes look theatrical in their presentation - they come in dishes shaped like swans, and dressed with storks of fruit. If you have a bit of money left over, order a couple of cocktails. They are equally as extravagant here.

Fantastic food every time. Excellent presentation and a great vegetarian selection…read more YOU MUST TRY THE IRISH COFFEE!!!!

This is one if my fave Thai dishes. 3/5 Green curry with rice - decent I always visit this area and it was about time I tried this place. I would come back and try something else.

Siam Paragon is Hampton Courts and East Moleseys Thai Restaurant. I really like this place, but…read moreunfortunately it is a little too expensive for me. It is not silly expensive, but, as with all Thai restaurants, you always end up ordering more than one dish, so the price really adds up. In fact, the only time when I order plenty of dishes is when I am being taken on a date here (and it is obvious that we are not going to go Dutch). I think one of the reasons why it is pricey is that the food is very well made; you can tell that good quality ingredients have been used. Importantly for all MSG phobics - they do not use this additive in any of the dishes. Also they must have to charge a lot because it is a very large restaurant - the trouble is that it is often quiet, so you may find yourself eating with just a few other tables filled. If you do come here, you will find that pretty much everything on the menu is a good choice. Choose a mixed starters, which includes the Thai fish cakes. For a main, I always go for a fish dish - the crispy Tilapia fish, or Seafood on Fire (very hot), are both delicious. Of course the curries are worth having here too. Vegetarians will be happy to here that there is a comprehensive separate vegetarian menu - I often order from here and am always happy with my choice.
