I don't even know where to start Dr Perrin is flat out an amazing doctor. I've had stomach/gut issues since I was a kid and as I've gotten older it's naturally gotten worse. I've seen so many GI doctors and my regular primary care doctor (PPO) for my issues. I've had a lot of endoscopy's - tests - medications - everything you can think of and they never really solved my issues. Anyways when I finally got to see her she kinda went through my health history and asked a lot of questions regarding my symptoms. I have been a patient of Dr. Khahn Perrin since 2012 and want to pass along my very positive experience for others who might benefit. When I first went to see her over a decade ago, I was the archetypical busy business executive with all the typical symptoms one might expect from such a person in his mid-40's: Lots of stress, lots of travel, poor dietary habits, irregular fitness program, tired and frankly, burned out. It's weird getting older and going through all the changes, but I'm not loving the alternative (right?) so Yayy! Dr. Perrin is kind, and intelligent, very calm, and curious about your specific data points. It's never a one size fits all type of interaction. Doctor's appointments can feel like you're talking to AI in a lab coat. Like they're looking through you, and their eyes are blank because their mind is somewhere else. I mean, they know what to say, and they say - t h a t - because they don't see you as being different than patients x, y and z - who came before you that morning. However! This is not the case of Dr. Perrin. She thinks about what you say and how you answer questions. Her assistant takes great notes and you can feel she's really aiming to get your mind and body to run at it's best, and this means the world to me. She's lovely, and I'm so glad I found her. I spent a lot of my time and money visiting Dr. Perrin trying to resolve stomach issues. She put me on over 10 vitamins, supplements and prescriptions, which in my opinion is too many. Also, when she could not figure out what was going on she recommended antibiotics when it really was not warranted. Additionally, she would have me do tests and when the results would come in, she would not have availability for over a month to go over the findings. Lastly, she never seem to know my information and would say things that were not relevant to me, like eat more fruits and vegetables, which is basically my diet already. Some people spend money on fancy cars, clothes, etc. I spend money on keeping myself healthy, physically/mentally/emotionally/spiritually. For the past 20 years I have been on a quest for ideal physical health. But Dr. Perrin spends AN HOUR with me each and every time I see her (for the initial visit, it was 1.5 hours) and is truly my partner in achieving optimal health. And like I said, I'd rather put my money here than in buying some fancy new purse. Worth every penny! She tests above and beyond the typical bloodwork. The staff was so invested in getting me to feel better, they each took their time to answer my questions and any possible underlying causes. I'd been suffering from acute insomnia for about 2 months - the symptoms shifted from waking up too early to not being able to maintain sleep, and waking up in the middle of night and lying awake for hours. It was really confounding, considering I didn't have any out of the ordinary stressors. One culprit is my advancing age :( I'd gone to a useless sleep doctor who was prescribing sleep apnea testing, yet said nothing about women's hormonal shifts, unless he was prompted by me and my google research. He eventually prescribed Doxapin which made me feel like a zombie for 36 hours.
