The kids have so much fun and they gain experience and knowledge about Laguna Beach by doing activities such as: -exploring the marine preserve -riding on a paddle board -riding the trolley -swimming in the ocean past where the waves break -exploring tide pools ...and more. I especially loved hearing about how my child's day went after exploring and experiencing more of Laguna Beach every day. My kid went to this camp for 1 week and it was a lot of sun exposure for them. I'm not sure if they could do more than a week but if it were me personally I would try to do this camp for two weeks atleast in the summer (spread out between weeks) to gain more confidence in these ocean activities. Chad is trustworthy and fun. He teaches the kids "ocean smarts" and I am truly grateful that we stumbled upon this camp. I'll be looking forward to signing up next year (and maybe bringing one of my kid's friends along).

We first…read morestarted coming when my eldest daughter was just 3 years old, and now my youngest daughter attends as well. We have always enjoyed our time at Olympica, the coaches, and the way they have cared for our girls over the years. My girls absolutely love this place, and it has really become a place that feels like family to us. This summer, Olympica became even more special to our family. While my one-year-old son was hospitalized, Leigh went above and beyond for our family and welcomed my girls to camp during the second week we were in the hospital. This camp gave my girls something fun and exciting to look forward to while our family was going through a really difficult time. And of course, they got to experience their favorite week of camp--their final week of summer camp, when they combine all of the gymnastics fun with water play! My girls had such a great time and came home excited to tell us about everything they got to do. What meant the most to me was knowing that my girls were somewhere they already loved and felt comfortable. They knew the coaches, the coaches knew them, and I knew they were safe, cared for, and going to have a great time. During such an uncertain and difficult time for our family, that meant so much. I am especially grateful to Leigh for the kindness she showed our family. She went out of her way to make sure my girls had somewhere fun to go during a time when so much of our attention had to be focused on the hospital. What could have been a traumatic experience for them instead became a week they were excited about and will remember for all the fun they had. After five years of being part of Olympica, I can honestly say that our family has always felt so welcomed and cared for here. The coaches have been wonderful, my girls love coming, and we are so grateful for the role Olympica has played in our girls' lives. Thank you, Leigh, and thank you to all of the coaches and everyone at Olympica for taking such good care of our family over the years. We are so grateful to be part of the Olympica family and can't wait for many more years here!

We brought our 7-month old son to the Water Bugs 1 class, which is for babies 3 months-9 months old. It's offered 3 times a week and is FREE. The facilities are great. There's a big open seating space for families to watch and there are books and toys for kids to play with while they wait for their class to start or wait for siblings to take their class. The family locker room is clean and spacious. It has private dressing rooms and lockers to store your things. There are also hair dryers and a nice area to get ready after swimming! The pool itself is warm and comfortable. For the Water Bugs class, one parent goes in with the baby and the instructor leads in various techniques and activities. It was fun and informative, and I can see how it helps babies learn to enjoy the water and even start some basic safety skills. The instructor was so kind and so was the sweet lady at the front desk, who helped show us around. We'll definitely be coming back!

There are bathrooms right in front of the rental area, and they have storage bags for you to store clothes, keys, etc. Kayaks were good quality, and life jackets felt secure.
