I felt that 1st grade was a really important year and I wanted to make sure she had a solid academic foundation. She attended summer camp before 1st grade and loved it!!! She said it was her favorite camp of the summer - which says a lot since she was in a lot of great camps. My daughter now goes once week for 1st grade Smart Start. Despite being in an immersion program where only 20% of the day is in English, my daughter is reading 1-2 grade levels above and what is more important is that absolutely loves reading!!! I couldn't be happier with her progress and her appreciation of literature. Ms. Frank is a master of her craft and her enthusiasm for literature is infectious! We're so happy that we found Club Lit!

We found Pacific at exactly the right time. I was very nervous about my daughter starting school…read morebecause she had always been with my mom (Grandma) while I was at work. We had tried one school-like experience for a brief two weeks that did not go well and had a pretty big impact on her, so I went into our tour at Pacific open-minded but definitely not optimistic. That completely changed after meeting the Director, Miss Dina. I left the tour feeling like my daughter would be in excellent hands and, more importantly, that she would be supported and guided in the areas where she needed it most. Fast forward more than a year, and she has completed preschool and is now in Early Kindergarten. I am so grateful for the staff at Pacific and the experience she has had here. I can go to work every day knowing my daughter is safe, loved, and being given the space to grow at her own pace. I especially have to recognize Miss Sapna. She helped my daughter work through her school anxiety, make friends, find her confidence, and truly learn to love school. Seeing that change in her has meant so much to our family. We are looking forward to having our son start in January too!

Our son has gained so much confidence, and it has been amazing to watch his personal growth. Even more importantly, his health has improved in his time here. He was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood epilepsy, and in the short time he has been at I Can Academy, we have seen his seizure activity cut in half. I believe this is due to a few factors including the positive environment and less stress. We are incredibly grateful for the support, understanding, and positive environment he has received. The teachers are amazing. A few of them are teachers my children have had in the past which made for an easy transition for my son. I hope our experience helps another mom who may be on the fence about homeschooling, just like I was, because for our family, the benefits have by far outweighed any of the negative ideas I had in my head.

The office staff was so warm and welcoming, and our daughter loved picking out her supplies to create her own I Can Academy bag. Her teacher was incredibly kind and created such a positive, engaging learning atmosphere. During the class, I even heard my daughter shout, "I can read!" When it ended, she was smiling and excited to bring home new flash cards to practice blending sounds. A few days later, she had an assessment at a private school for kindergarten, which included sounding out letters and blending them. She did so well--and I couldn't believe how quickly the lessons from the academy had already made an impact. This is absolutely the place to go if you want a warm, child-first learning experience. We highly recommend it!
