Don't bother with KForce. It's not worth the hassle of dealing with incompetent associates and managers who can't or won't communicate with job seekers.
Several years ago, I had an 8-month temporary assignment in the Chicago area through an associate at KForce's Tampa, FL headquarters, and I was provided a local contact with an associate at former Schaumburg, IL office. The associate at the Schaumburg office left abruptly at the end of the assignment, which left me (along with other temporary workers) hanging without new assignments. When I talked to her former manager by phone, I was assured that there would be a new assignment for me. That never happened, and I never worked for KForce again because of never-ending communication problems with associates and managers.
I spent a good amount of time trying to contact associates at the Schaumburg, Chicago, and Tampa offices about my job applications, new assignments, an associate to work with and some kind of consistent correspondence. Most of the time, my e-mails and phone calls weren't returned. When I was able to talk to an associate, I never got a straight answer about the jobs I applied for, but I was told that the level of communication would improve. That was total b.s. and, as usual, subsequent e-mails & phone calls went unanswered. This was a real problem with associates and upper-level managers at the Tampa HQ because all of them made empty promises of open communication and consistent assignments. I didn't understand the problem because I received good marks for my work during the previous assignment, so I thought someone at KForce would want to continue the working relationship. I looked for employment outside of KForce, but jobs were hard to find at that time, so any time spent sending e-mails and leaving messages for KForce associates and managers was wasted time.
The last straw involved the Chicago office. I finally dealt with an associate regarding a job opportunity, took the required tests for the job, did well and waited for confirmation on the new position. I e-mailed and called this associate several times and did not get a response, so the job was filled. It was a blown opportunity just because the associate didn't get back to me. She did e-mail an apology later on, and I did receive correspondence from a manager who wanted to work with me and correct the communication problems. I declined the offer because I had a new job, and it was too little, too late. Too many KForce associates had screwed up too many times.
Forget about KForce and take your job hunt elsewhere. read more
