6/25/21: We stopped here on our way out of town. The line was super long, so I expected our food to be fresh. When we finally got to the speaker, we could hear the reps attitude loud and clear. Not sure why, but she was unhappy from the start. We asked if they her fresh hot wings from the beginning. She said "yessssss" after a long, irritated sigh was let out. So, we laughed and kept going with the order. We paid & had to wait quite awhile, so I expected piping hot food. My son's chicken quesadilla and strawberry slush was good. My family's chicken and chicken sandwich combos were just OK. My hot wings were FAR from fresh. In fact, you could tell they were old and just sitting in the warmer. I was pissed. They were dry and we had pulled off already. The dining room was closed, so to complain, we would have to go back around and wait in that long, slow line. I took it as a lesson. If I could give it a negative one I would. This place freaking sucks. They always manage to give u someone else's meal. My bf made the mistake of going here getting KFC chicken. He should have looked in the bag but when he got home he has worked all day and didn't feel like going back. So I go to eat the tacos that were in the bag and everything tasted old and stale. It left the most unsavory nasty after taste and I just threw the three tacos away. I have been to Tacos Bells all over VA and other areas and this is the only one where their food tastes like it's fixed in someone's house that's not clean. The food here doesn't taste like Taco Bell or KFC. It has the funniest taste to it. We hadn't ate there in awhile and won't be anytime soon and it's like they never change or try to get better. I ordered 16 piece through drive thru. Went to pay with debit, I greeted the cashier he never said a word back to me. Then I see him walking out. I can hear fussing and cussing from inside the store. Another woman comes to the window and gives me a debit card and I said thank you and she never responded. Then she gives me my order, each bag, I am saying thank you and she does not look at me nor speak to me. Next day, I find out they have charged me twice! Never going back, ever. This KFC / Taco Bell is definitely A-OK in my book. I fuel up across the street on a lot of my trips and occasionally head over here. I've enjoyed what I've gotten here (usually chicken tenders), but what makes it "yelp-worthy" though is the very nice people who work there who gave me a cup of water and plenty of ice one hot day and a little condiment cup so I could give my little furkid Nick who travels with me some water. If you're headed back to I-85, be sure to use the side exit so you come out on the side street at the light. MUCH easier to turn left at the light to get back to the highway that way than to try and make a U-turn after coming out the front exit. read more

They say there's always a reason for everything. Well, there's a reason for the terrible rating for this one, as well. I ordered a 2 piece fill up, too (I hear you Larry Shaffer right below me!), and my chicken was all dried up, stiff, and even smelled a little bit. Anyone could see it was NOT fresh at all. I'm usually quite patient, but the service was so slow. I even thought the car right in front of me was just parked there. Overall good service and food, bit in light of the pandemic I'm concerned about the safety procedures. While they are requiring any customers entering the restaurant to wear face coverings, and their employees are all wearing face coverings... Three manager was not wearing any sort of face mask or covering at all, and was preparing food without a mask or even gloves. Honestly, if you are coming here for KFC, you are at the right place. You will partake in delicious flaky fried chicken accompanied by tasty sides. However, if you are here for the Taco Bell, you can not make a worse mistake. Upon arriving at this fine establishment, I started conversing with a very agitated young woman who warned me that the food took quite a while to come out. I decided not to heed her warning and ordered my food...what a mistake. Said order was placed at 8:26 PM. By 8:30 PM, the three other people in my party were enjoying their meals; a famous bowl and two chicken tender fill up boxes. Why do I remember exactly what they ordered you may ask? Because I spent the next 20 minutes of my life watching them eat their food. I finally decided to approach the counter to question the status of my food at 8:46 PM. Some may wonder why I decided to wait so long. Well, I like to think that I am a pragmatic person. I genuinely was hoping that they were just getting slammed and that they somehow bumped my order off of their screen. I literally stared at the manager for 5 minutes as she leaned over the counter, sweat dripping from her brow. It honestly was so unsettling that I considered asking her if she needed medical attention. Rest assured, she shifted herself and I saw that she was just counting money for a cash drop. Not once in those 5 minutes did she bother to even look up at me. I locked eyes with three employees before one decided to grace me with their presence. I explained to him that I was looking for order 144, mind you, at this point they were on order 169. He slides to the back and instantly comes out with my bag! He looks at me, clearly reading the frustration on my face, leans over the counter and tosses in a bag of Doritos. He says "gave you a free bag of doritos for the wait." My soft tacos (I call them soft because I ordered hard tacos but they were both so soggy that they had folded in on themselves) were cold and my quesadilla was vastly inedible. Can't fault the bag of Doritos since they come vacuum sealed. To sum all of this up, I will not be revisiting this establishment and would advise anyone considering a visit to heed my warning: If you eat at this particular establishment, you will have a bad time. I myself will never be refunded the time that I lost this day and can only take a deep sigh as I gaze upon this solitary bag of Doritos that represents my misfortune. read more

I love KFC's. I eat there all the time, and have for over 50 years. I was disappointed though with this KFC. Maybe because I am from Seattle and we have higher expectations because of the quality may be higher in the NW. I think it best to just list what I found. 1. I ordered the Mexican pizza. It was nothing like the picture. I asked why there was no white cheese. Was told they ran out. Most of the shredded cheese was not melted and it was barely warm. 2. Asked for butter and a knife for my biscuit. Was told they don't stock either. 3. There was spilt pop all around the pop machine. 4. The bathroom was filthy, with small pieces of paper everywhere. 5. The building was freezing. I had to go to my car to get a cover. My daughters just "stuck it out". 6. The chicken and cold slaw was great 7. Staff unfriendly. 8. Did I mention there was only 1 other couple, while the staff talked to each other. Hope they learn from this review. read more

I don't visit there often but when I do I always get the same thing a Beef Taco Salad NO BEANS NO SOUR CREAM & 8 out of 10 times I have to call the manager to complain. Tonight they messed it up again but I refused to call again cause its not worth it to me.Have decided to stop to getting them.....Good news is whatever manager I talk to is nice & handles the problem right away. read more

The update on the establishment is very nice. But slapping a bandaid on ugly is one thing! You cannot slap a bandaid on slow, unfriendly service. Everytime I go there the drive thru is backed up all the way around the building. So, today, I went inside and ordered. There were six associates. All of them were wandering around as if in a daze. There was unfinished orders on the stations while the people making them were chatting to friends over the counter. I waited 5 minutes (I was the only person on line) to order. It took another 10 minutes for them to make it! Then when the orders were finally ready, not mine, they sat in bags on the work stations. What were they waiting for???? I have boycotted this establishment before the remodel and I'm going to do it again! read more

Being local I often have to visit this establishment if I'm in the mood for KFC or Taco Bell. On this particular occasion I went through drive thru and I must warn IT IS NOT a fast drive thru. I placed my order and pulled around to the window. As the girl was handing me my drink I noticed the drink was coming through the top. When I grabbed the bottom the top fell off and due to an overly full cup, my beverage spilled all over my door and in my lap. I understand accidents happen but this is the kicker....I tried handing her the cup back thinking she would get another drink and perhaps some napkins to clean my spill. Oh no she told me I'm not allowed to take trash through the drive thru!!! I said it's not trash you just handed me an overly full cup of soda with the top not on and she replied well I can't take it back. I asked if I could at least get another drink and perhaps a few napkins. She handed me two napkins and no drink! I just left! They need serious customer service training at this location!! read more

I have stopped eating at KFC in my hometown are of the tri cities of Va The chicken always seems under cooked. I order chicken in south hill. I was impressed It was done. Once a year I want kfc chicken. I will give the local KFC's a chance. I cant eat it. Into the trash it goes. In South Hill though I will go back and will go back often. For years have been eating at this KFC and no complaints until tonight....went in ordered to eat in (usually go thru drive thru)....no sooner than I got my food, took a seat and started to eat, a young couple with a baby set down just in front of me...the woman went over to the used food trays and took one back to their table were she laid the baby on and commenced to change a poop diaper and wipe the baby's butt with napkins. None of the employees said a word as she finished and returned the food tray to the stack where she had retrieved it. The smell of the dirty diaper took my appetite so I was about to gather up my food to leave when one of the employees decided to start sweeping around my table stirring up dust that was settling on my food...so discussed at this point I got up and walked out leaving most of my food ( I had only been able to eat a few bites) setting on the table. I am not sure if I will ever go back....guess it's Bojangles from now on. read more
