5/03, I stood at the front counter for over five minutes before an employee even looked in my direction. When they finally did, they didn't greet me or ask if I needed help or anything.. after explaining that I was picking up an order she said they were still working on it. I watched as an African-American employee, put my order together and set it on the counter and went back to the drive-through, ignoring the fact that I was there to pick it up. when I asked for it, the other African-American lady screamed from across the back room "ITS NOT READY" .. when in fact was I'm looking right at it. Wasnt the best experience I've had at a KFC but not the worst. One thing I was very impressed by was the speed my order was ready. I ordered an 8 piece meal at the drive thru. By the time I reached the window it was already done. Incredible. Only problem is that means it was likely sitting there a bit and when I got home, I confirmed this was likely true as the chicken was a bit dry, as though it had been sitting under the warmer too long. While I was disappointed by that, I did receive my order quickly, it was delicious, and it was all correct. For that I give 3 stars. My husband and I were at this KFC for lunch. No one else was in the restaurant when we were there. When we got home less than 8 mins later, my husband realized he left his wallet on our table-which contained a good sum of cash for Christmas presents for the family, his driver's license, passport, debit card and several credit cards. Chicken was so soggy the skin was coming off in the bucket, the oil tasted dirty and somehow the chicken was overcooked while also seeming like the breading was undercooked. I am reading these recent reviews and I agree with them! the same young black lady with long braids who i believe is the manager because that is what she said when I asked to speak to one had also taken my order she was very rude with her words and also it seem funny to her that she's being that way. Not sure why I keep coming here. Food is actually really expensive for fast food and the menu is so hard to read. Even with a coupon (and you should always have a coupon for KFC) it always come out over $20 for two. Oh I know the reason, one of my all time guilty pleasures is the extra crispy skin. Stopped by a week later and ordered two meals and hot wings. I was told they didn't have thighs and my choices were breast, leg and wings. I really can't with KFC anymore, particularly this Meadowview location. It's because of the service received at this location that I no longer go to KFC, no matter the location. The chicken pot pie has chunks of veggies in a creamy sauce topped with a buttery flaky crust (almost like phyllo dough crust), so yummy! Our family favorites are the original and extra crispy fried chicken. Ask for the spicy sauce, it's so good with the extra crispy chicken. They also have fried apple pies here too, yes, fried not baked...I know, not healthy, but oh so yummy! McDonald's use to fry their pies back in the day, but now they are baked, so this is a rare find. Service here can be hit or miss. If you're going to the drive-thru, I highly recommend you check your order before leaving. 3 out of 5 times, my order was always incorrect.
