When we got back, we prepped everything including stuffing and when we pulled out the chicken, we could smell it was rotted off the flesh. It was slimy and the smell took over the kitchen. How they didn't catch that is truly mystifying. It was upsetting when we are about to cook our Christmas dinner. When my mother called and informed them of the rotten chicken, they said bring it back with a receipt. They weren't bothered by the fact that they sold rotten chicken and didn't apologize or try to do right by a customer who has supported them for nine years. Their only concern was a receipt which they never provided. Needless to say, I suggested my mom file a report with the health department ( which she has now done) and I'm sharing the customer service experience here. Accidents can happen which I understand. Terrible customer service is a whole other thing. I personally, I would never shop here on that merit alone. If they can't be bothered to fix the issue, I can't be bothered to spend money there. Plenty of rice and the naan (sprinkled with parsley) was fresh. - Lamb saag ($11.95) - it's an extra $1.00 to substitute for lamb/beef but totally worth it. Lamb was tender and included a couple of chunks. Satisfying, tasty eats at Lachi. Will be back for more next time we're in town.
