The thought of their Fish & Chips makes my mouth water! It really is such a delicious meal for a pretty small amount. Their fish is tasty, crispy and best of all, spicy! Don't get me wrong, their fried chicken is also pretty amazing. Their famous fried chicken comes in different kinds of dressings (Soy Garlic, Spicy, Honey Citrus, or Crunchy Garlic), all which taste great. Sometimes, their serving of two pieces of fried chicken just isn't enough because of how delicious they are. I've recently been trying to order the other dishes of Bon Chon. My new favorites are their their Chapchae, Fish Tacos (Really good! I can eat four of these in one sitting), Chicken Sandwich, Bulgogi Noodle Soup, and their sweet potato fries. :)

So the size of my meal was great - 2 full size pieces of chicken with rice. His was 6 full size pieces of chicken and chicken breast served in a metal basket. The server looked at him funny as he set the order in front of us. Needless to say, my husband had a duh moment and he realized he probably should've asked. He managed to eat maybe 2 pieces when I had to tell him to stop forcing it. Overall, the chicken was pretty tasty! It has just enough crunch/crisp with each bite and the seasoning was pretty evenly distributed through the pieces I ate. Generally I am disappointed by some US Bonchon places bc the seasoning can be sparse on some of the wings but not here! If you need a quick bite, check them out but if you're unsure of the sizes, please do ask around before you spend the money on it .

(Php 150.00-half order) It's approximately 12pcs of crispy, breaded, buttered chicken sprinkled with bits of toasted garlic. It was well seasoned and they have homemade gravy that complimented the dish. Overal,l it was a good experience, the place was simple, clean, well maintained but can only accommodate 10 customers at a time so you can't bring big groups to hang out here.

Their menu is a bit westernized since they also offer fries alongside their tacos, nachos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. They also have rice meals in their menu too, maybe to cater to the Filipino culture for their love of rice, but I haven't tried any of those yet. Eating at Taco Bell in Gateway Mall, I have tried their taco, nacho, burrito, quesadilla and fries (LOL, I won't forget their fries as most of their menu is served with fries). The taste is ok but there's this feeling that something is missing for all the food I have eaten there. I always order for the spicy variety of their menu but it's not enough to satisfy my hunger for the spice that is a trademark for Mexican food. I always add hot sauce to my food but it's not quite enough for me. I also don't like the fact that you can taste potatoes in their tacos and nachos because you already have your fries (potatoes-ception!). Their quessadillas doesn't quite meet the requirements as well for the authentic taste of a Mexican food as you can taste the chemicals processed in that roll of sauce and meat in your every bite. The flavor (a sweet, salty, and tangy combo) is very Pinoy and makes an interesting choice for curious foodies, including foreigners visiting the Philippines to try Filipino fast food. It's worth exploring but is it worth it? Yes, unless you're mentality is like "I'll just cook that at home." I also have such mentality but the bottom line is that Jollibee has a unique beef pattie flavor, one that I haven't tried elsewhere yet. FOOD We tried the 3PC Chicken Tenders and the 1PC Chicken and both had different textures especially on the coating. Tenders were typically good but the Bold BBQ dip was the star flavor in this combo; tasted really good! 1PC had tender white meat and a really thick coating, which tasted good but made the chicken actually look smaller. Biscuit was just as good as before and still somewhat plain, which I totally appreciate. At first, I thought the flavor was infused into the biscuit but turns out you put it in like you would with butter. Our flavor was honey but the experience of placing it in the biscuit was more interesting than the actual flavor. Spaghetti had a sweet and subtly unique taste. Fries had a nice and crispy texture. Among our orders, I still think only about those good and plain biscuits. SERVICE We had to wait quite awhile because there were lots of customers, and one number was called several times sometime before ours. The customer of that number never came and I was able to eventually get our order. I'd like to suggest that they use a TV screen (unless they have one upstairs already) or a pager to call out the number especially for customers upstairs.
