I went here instead and found out that they dols the chips the way I wanted them, wrapped not bagged, and I got heaps more for the same amount a very small bag would have cost me at the other place. I found out the shop is under new management and the owner was lovely. He was so understanding and seems to have made some changes for the better as soon as he took over. I grabbed my chips and a menu for future reference and left. The chips were very nice. A little too much chicken salt but I am not a salt fan, I only put chicken salt on chips and nothing else so I can taste even just a small amount. But maybe next time I will ask him for just a little chicken salt. They did have cooked chooks in there ready to go and they smelled great. The seafood in the fridge looked nice and fresh too. I looked at the menu and they are CHEAP! Much cheaper than most other chicken shops. Like a 1/4 chook hot pack is only $7.00. That's about $2 cheaper than other places and if you are buying for my family that would mean I would save $10, for a family of 5, compared to buying elsewhere. For a family on a budget - that's enough of a saving to make me want to go there. Even a hamburger or steak sandwich with the lot are only $6.50 each! Hot dogs with the lot for $5! They also take function orders and phone orders before 7:45pm. AND have EFTPOS!

It's in a small shopping centre so parking is no problem. They do fantastic roast packs and always have pork, beef AND lamb - not just one each day. If you're feeling seedy and need something a little greasy after a big night out their potato bake is mouth watering. They also do Yiros Stack Packs. Basically yiros meat with pita bread, chips and sauce of your choice. And they even have the balls to name the beef one Mad Cow! And if you have a sweet tooth.........make sure you grab a deep fried mars bar!!! The only place I know that sells them (sure there are probably others but I don't know where).

I only bought hot chips to go with some other stuff I had for dinner but they were excellent hot chips. Not too much salt, really hot and really crispy. Even my partner commented on how nice the chips were and asked where I had gotten them from. I got plenty enough for a family of 4 in a $6.50 bag of chip but they have smaller and larger sizes available. They don't have a website so I have put up pics of their menu. They have a great lunch special with a 1/4 chicken and chips for only $6.50 available between 11am and 2pm each day. They are open 7 days a week and sell free range chickens, which taste heaps better. The cost is very similar to other chicken shops in the area. They also sell yiros, hot dogs, burgers, fish and schnitzels. While I was waiting for my chips I watched the cook make someone a burger and it looked sensational by the time he had finished building it. I swear it was over 10cm tall before he put lid of the bun on top and wrapped it. Looked soooo good. Definitely getting one of those next time.

If you want a hot chook it's hit and miss. Unless my timing is bad, most days I've wanted one they didn't have any. I've been at lunchtime, dinner time - no hot chooks. A couple of times when we've asked they've said "No we're not cooking any today". Now we just don't waste our time going there any more if we want a hot chook. Maybe they need to take their specials menus down from out the front to save people the bother :)
