By that, I mean that due to their exponential growth in the States by offering a fresh, higher quality fried chicken sandwich, other vendors began to also step up their game. For example, Popeye's almost certainly brought out their improved chicken sandwich a couple years ago to compete with Chick Fil A. And for me, I may even slightly lean to preferring the Popeye's sandwich to Chick Fil A's. With all that said, and in spite of the fact that Chick Fil A might no longer be the equivalent of the fried chicken sandwich unicorn, it's still objectively a very good sandwich. They're huge on quality control, so it's fresh, well proportioned and ultimately very tasty. They of course have have famous variety of sauces which gives them a unique edge too, as well as waffle fries which I love. And their ice tea is a nice bridge between sweat tea and regular brewed ice tea. And their service is head and shoulders best in the industry too. Still a fantastic fast food option to get a fried chicken sandwich, just not necessary something I'd wait in line for either.
