I'm not sure why this location is so underrated. The service and the food were delicious. We hadn't been to KFC in over 10 years and decided to give it a go and we weren't disappointed. The extra crispy chicken we ordered was crispy, seasoned just right, and juicy. Everything you want in a fried chicken. We had the coleslaw, which my husband has always enjoyed. We tried the small apple turnovers, they were great too. Corn was a little disappointing, but it's corn. The main items were great. Aleia was the service member at the counter and she was kind, courteous, and service oriented. Just the kind of person you want serving your counter. The restaurant was clean, food was great, and service was terrific. What more can you ask for? read more

My husband and I stopped here after a fairly long day of travel. This KFC was what you expect from KFC. We had chicken strips with coleslaw, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a biscuit. This location was clean, and the workers were friendly, working hard, and very helpful. The man who helped us was especially kind and helpful. While we were eating, he came out and cleaned up the dining area well where other customers had eaten. I saw some bad reviews, but we had no complaints. Thank you Gallup Route 66 KFC. read more

I read all the negative reviews about this particular KFC and my husband and I almost didn't go here. Most of the negative reviews were concerning customer service. We decided to relent. My husband went inside to order. The restaurant was very clean. They were very busy at the drive thru and the young lady working the counter was also helping out with drive thru orders. This young lady whose name started with a "J" went above and beyond being courteous to my husband. He said it was one of the most pleasant young people he had wait on him in a long time. It was much appreciated. Our food was cooked perfect and our order was complete. Everything was packed carefully and neatly. On our return trip through Gallup, we will be happy to take our business to this particular KFC! read more

Still not worth it, $5 large fries were not large and not worth it. The staff is not kind and lacks customer relation skills. The man at the drive up window didn't even look me in the eye. It was just total and either cash or credit. There was very little courtesy or basic respect. The order came up and was correct There was no square, a couple of napkins, and lots of attitude. Be careful. Bring tour coupons. Skip the pleasantries. And double check your order in the bag. Just skip this place and it's lack of service. read more

Went to the drive up and placed my order, was charged almost ten dollars to much. When we pulled around to go inside to ask why we found out they have us a different order, not what we asked for and it was more expensive. They said it would be to complicated to do a refund and they would just give us some extra stuff to make up the difference. Got home out pajamas on and went to dish up dinner, not only did they not give me anything to make up the difference but they didn't even give me my full original order, they still shorted me sides so even more $ paid for nothing received. If they do that to 10 people a day that's an extra $100 for someone to put in there pocket. read more

I ordered a large family pack , when I got my food there were no napkins, no spoons or forks for the mashed potatoes or coleslaw, no dipping sauces and no butter or honey. If they were out of all of these items it would have been nice to have been told and I would understand. No mention of it so I got to feed my 3yo and 1yo mashed potatoes with my finger. read more

‼DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION‼ I threw my order away because my 12 pc hot wings came with THREE BLOODY WINGS! But wait!...the manager Donavan INSISTED I take the order, and it's entirety, OUT OF THE TRASH and RETURN IT to the store for a refund‼ He wanted to use it to "show his employees that they need to cook it longer". I went through the drive thru and we placed our order. It was good because we haven't had the hot wings in a very long time! The lady who took our order was nice and we asked for ranch dressing but we got hot sauce. I asked for ranch and she apologized and gave us ranch. My family and I stopped by this KFC on our way back from a road trip. We arrived at 8:15 pm on July 23rd, 2021. I saw the worker at KCF ran to lock the front door as she watch my car pulling in to park. I walked over to the door only to find out the door really was locked. The sign on the door stated that dine in is open until 9:00pm. I looked inside the dining area and saw a table of people still eating. I knocked again, but no one came to open the door. This is by far my worst experience ever. It felt like the workers are too lazy to provide service. Just bad business and I would never recommend anyone to eat at this KFC. read more
