To which she said nothing in response and looked at me like a deer in headlights. I paused to wait for a response as it was a legitimate question. No response to me, but she proceeded to speak to her associate in another language as if a customer wasn't standing in front of them. At this, I'm now the one looking like a deer in headlights.
