I didn't know until today that KFC in Brookings, SD serves Chicken Jerky, but that's what I received when I ordered the 5-Piece Tender Combo. This was the worst excuse for "tenders" I've ever experienced - the tenders were so dry and nasty that I couldn't even eat them. Took one bite and threw $17.00 in the trash. Sadly, this is the third and final time that I will try this KFC in Brookings. If Colonel Sanders were still alive and saw what I was served today, I'm sure that he would have revoked the Owner's Franchise License. Heed the warnings, and stay away from this pathetic cesspool. read more

I hate leaving a bad review in this day and time, but this one is deserved. Placed an online order with a scheduled pickup of 4:15. Had my email confirmation and Got there to pick it up. The employee first couldn't find the order then found it and said, "Okay, we'll start making it now." WTF??! Why bother offering online order ahead if you're not going to use the damn system?!?! KFC, y'all need to tighten up your ship! Got our food finally with no apologies or any pretense that they cared. A simple sincere apology for the mix up would have resulted in a much better review. read more

For months I've bragged about how good, juicy and flavorful this chicken was, but today i was very disappointed, the outside was so dry and hard i couldn't chew it. The inside was very dry. I come here about twice a week, i will not give up though. I'll be back, maybe you're training, maybe you made more than you could sell and it sat drying out. read more

We don't usually go to KFC, but a couple Sunday's ago we found ourselves without a dinner plan and not a lot of time to come up with one. After some discussion we decided to give KFC a shot. We found a couple meals that seemed large enough for our family and placed the order online. I picked the food up at the drive thru and drove home only to discover they forgot the mac & cheese, gravy, and the biscuits. Wonderful. Back in the car and back to KFC. They were sort of sorry and provided the missing food. Got home again to discover no butter and no honey for the biscuits. Lovely. The food was cold enough at this point I had no plans to go back to KFC a second time. So while the food turned out to be 'not bad' for fast food, my experience was underwhelming enough that I won't be back to KFC anytime soon. read more
