We had a group of 10 go into eat. We were told it was going to a 30 minute wait. I asked if we could walk over to thr bar and get a drink and wait there, we were told yes by the host. We were told we'd recieve a message when our table is ready. We proceed to the bar rail, ordered 1 drink each, besides our 2 DDs. After waiting we received a message that our table was ready. We ordered our apps and our food and asked for a second round of beers. SECOND ROUND. we waited for those beers for over 20 minutes and when we did not receive them one of us went and asked if we could get our beers. We were told we'd been cut off and when asked why we were told it was because we came from the bar rail with a beer so we were drunk. B'Dubs in Brookings, SD is one of the best we've ever visited - great service and great food! Even when busy and short handed, the servers are top notch!!! PRIME EXAMPLE: last Saturday night we witnessed a table of 9-10 middle-aged people in the party room harassing their server. One woman, clearly having had too much to drink, physically clung to the server while ordering another round for their table. Management cut them off for having had too much to drink, and they became belligerent and started yelling at every server they saw. Frankly, it was a little scary. They were treated politely by every server despite their attitude. A manger eventually came and asked them to leave. What amazing and patient wait-staff! My only comment would be that a manager should have interceded sooner to avoid the employees having to be treated so poorly. Kudos to the staff at the Brookings Buffalo Wild Wings!!! read more

Wings are astronomically small... service is sub par. The servers rely on tips and tips only. When your section is sat with a single table, and zero service being met for 30+ minutes, food coming out cold, and pessimistic comments being made. I has a wonderful time about a week ago at this location because of a wonderful young server named Audrey, she was very very helpful while ordering. She was extremely friendly and on top of that she even helped out a few other tables that weren't on her list to help out her fellow coworkers. She did an amazing job telling us about ingredients and pricing of each menu item, and she remained very personable the whole time we were sat down. She did an above and beyond job, and we hope she's working the next time we visit family in SD!!! She was also extremely humorous, and her whole demeanor made game night a lot better! Came with 6 young kids. Ordered drinks and food right away. Waited 45 mins for food and not once offered drink refills. When the food finally did show up it was cold. Told the waitress that was upset that waited 45 mins for cold food and was told I'm not the cook so I don't know what to tell you. I said we are leaving. She said she will get the manager. Manager came and the waitress told him We threw food at her and he asked us to leave. We never threw food and did not appreciate being accused of throwing food. It was busy so we waited awhile to be seated which is understandable. After getting sat waiting 45 more minutes for the food was a little much for a wait with kids. Then they brought the wrong food and took another 10 minutes to bring that out just for it to be somewhat cold. Seemed to be understaffed. I hope they can get more help on busy nights. Today my family and I went to this location for my grandma's birthday lunch and the server we had wasn't good what so ever! I don't know if she was new or just didn't care but she had messed up our order 3 different times and had argued with me about what I had ordered and tried to tell me that what my grandma had ordered wasn't right even though we had looked at the menu and knew exactly what we had ordered! At one point she had rolled her eyes and sighed very loudly making it very noticeable that she was annoyed with what we had said and she never told us what her name was! She had also told us 4 different times that there was not silverware that it was all dirty and being washed so I had made the decision to go up to the bar and ask because at that point I was eating my chicken with a toothpick! My table of 10 had absolutely no silverware until we got up to the bar and the man working was nice and very confused as to why we had been told that there was none he had given us out silverware and then the server had come back and asked if we still needed silverware! I normally never have problems with this location but the lady who waited on us today either needs more training or she needs to fired because that was absolutely ridiculous!! read more

I wish there was a rating between Meh and A-OK. Because that is where BWW exists. They are a touch better than Meh and a little below A-OK. I flipped a coin and went with 2 stars even though 2.5 is really more appropriate. I don't dislike their food but it has a very fast food-esque quality to it. I presume everything is prepackaged and pre seasoned then frozen pending delivery to your local franchise. Service has always been pretty good and prices are a touch higher than they should be. I don't go to BWW often and I don't see that changing anytime soon, unless of course they decide to increase the quality of their food. read more

Buffalo Wild Wings is always a good place to go for great food and atmosphere. However, each time I go I consistently have mediocre service. Last time I went, my friends and I were sat quickly. It took about five minutes before a server came to our table. She was friendly and brought our drinks to us relatively quickly. As always, the food was slow to come out but was delicious. Halfway through the meal, I realized our server hadn't returned to check on us- which was a little disappointing since I needed something to counteract the spiciness of my delicious wings. The server returned about twenty minutes after she had delivered our food and cashed us out. All in all, I had a decent experience. I'll definitely return to Buffalo Wild Wings, but I only recommend going there if you have a considerable amount of time to wait. read more

I went here expecting the food to be just ok, and the service to be dominated by college age waitresses. I was pleasantly surprised by the food-the wings were enjoyable i loved the Caribbean jerk sauce (or something like that)! The wait staff was indeed college age girls... The service made me want to leave without leaving a tip.. Which takes a lot. After being told we could sit in the bar area, we ordered drinks and were told we would have to move since one of our party was not 21. That's kind of dumb, but we weren't too bothered. However, after we were sat at our new table, we sat for at least 15 minutes waiting for our drinks and for someone to take our order, or even talk to/acknowledge us!! Drinks arrived finally, and one had to be sent back as the waitress didn't listen to the order. Fast forward to getting our food. We sat for another 5 minutes after the food was hastily set at our table, looking for our waitress (or just some napkins!) A manager finally got us some. The waitress seemed to think it was funny, never offered to get us more drinks, dessert, or a to-go box (there was a pile of untouched wings-it should have at least be asked). I've been here many times, and I really want to like BWW, but it's just not working. I've had consistently bad service and overcooked food. The restaurant and bar are clean and spacious, but the drink prices are all over the place. A tap beer might be anywhere from $2 to $10, and you will never know until the bill, because the service is, again, so bad. My wife and I visited Buffalo Wild Wings in order to watch the Mariners vs Blue Jays game. Ordered some beers and food and settled in to watch the game. Service was good but when it was time to pay I attempt to use my Buffalo Wild Wings gift card and was informed that their system was down and could only do cash or credit card. I inquired further and was told that there would be no way to redeem the gift card and that I could come back and try using it on a different visit. So I am out $25 and expected to hope that their internet is working next time. They made no effort to remedy the situation. I am sorry but there wont be a next time. read more

The restaurant was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with newer TVs on different channels. Those accompanying me seemed to really like their food and we enjoyed our time together. However... There was no hostess available when I arrived around noon on a weekday. After a few minutes someone emerged from the corner, apologized for the wait, and seated me. There were not a lot of diners yet she did not come back to the table for a while. After taking drink orders but before taking food orders the waitress mentioned they were understaffed that day both on the floor and in the kitchen so it might take a long time (30 minutes) to receive food and asked if that was okay. We felt a little trapped by the timing of this announcement, as if we had been informed right away we could have gone somewhere else. (My dining partners mentioned the restaurant was understaffed on their previous visit as well, it took more than 45 minutes to be served, and when they complained the staff actually argued with them that it did not take that long.) Anyway we stayed and our food eventually arrived. I did enjoy the fried foods but my main dish was a grilled chicken salad and the chicken pieces were so hard I could barely stick my fork in, like it had been microwaved a long time. (Note: McD's somehow manages to make a 100x better grilled chicken salad in under 5 minutes.) At the end of our meal there was a mistake on the bill but it was quickly fixed.
