Stopped here after our projected 2 hour drive into Cardiff turned into 3.5h. At 1:15p or so on a weekday this stop was packed. All restaurants had a long line but we queued up at KFC because they had electronic self serve stations (which didn't worn for us with US credit cards however). Nevertheless we moved quickly through the line (quicker than other restaurants) and received our food fairly quickly relative to others.
I would suggest ordering fried chicken if you're starving, hangry, or unwilling to wait an extended amount of time. There's an extensive list of sandwiches and a lot of non-fried chicken items that I haven't seen in the US (though I don't tend to eat KFC back home).
The quality of the chicken is ok. It's not the crispiest original recipe I have had, but the meat was super tender and fell off the bone easily.
I would highly, highly recommend adding a chocolate chip cookie to your meal if you aren't on Keto or diabetic. It's one of the best cookies I've had (I eat a lot of cookies). read more
