Andrew and Steve are master craftsman with a keen eye to minute details. I contacted them to…read moreconstruct an interior PA blue stone pad for my new wood stove and also to install stone veneer on two of the walls. Andrew and Steve are not just stone masons and have excellent skills in both interior and exterior construction that comes in handy when the unforeseen glitch pops up. For example they were able to reinforce the floor to support the very heavy weight of the pad and stove. While working in the basement on the floor reinforcement, Andrew noticed that there was a bump in the basement concrete floor that I lamented had been tripping me every time I did the laundry. Without hesitation, he went to his truck for some tools and remedied that rather large bump at no additional charge. Steve is an artisan, and created a real show piece backdrop to the Vermont castings red stove. The pattern and color variation he put forth is truly amazing and far exceeded my expectations. There was one stone that I felt was a little off in color, and they had no pushback, and were completely open to replacing it albeit while the stone had not fully set, but it was obvious their goal was 100% customer satisfaction. The cuts for outlets, windows, and ceilings were flawless and the mortar joints between stones was applied perfectly. I learned that Andrew is a 2nd generation mason, and he and Steve had been training under his dad since they were kids. I had to travel out of town, and had no worries leaving them the keys to finish the job. They are great communicators and completely trust-worthy. When icy cold rain was forecast Andrew called the night before to alert me of the threatening weather and left it that he would revisit the workday in the morning. He called bright and early to "ASK" if we could postpone a day as he would be cutting the stone and mixing mortar outside. I of course agreed. They also coordinated with the stove installers to help wrangle the very heavy stove pad onto the frame they had built. Andrew and Steve are team players and also a great team, with complimentary skills and eyes that truly ensures a beautiful job. They cleaned up every day and left the job, spotless with no debris. They have my highest recommendation and can handle any masonry job at hand. 6 Stars out of 5!!!!!

We highly recommend Jon Kontz of Plant Design. Five stars out of five. We had major work…read moreperformed on our pool area and deck and Jon was absolutely great from beginning to end. His recommendations for all aspects of the work were top notch and he was deliberate, patient and easy to talk to before, during and after our project completion. We were looking to re do our pool area and decking because the concrete deck around the pool was showing age, cracking and sagging in spots and the wood deck I had built around the pool concrete over 25 years ago was moving a bit. We had three different contractors provide specs and estimates. Two were stone guys who would replace the existing concrete and wood decking with stone. One of these contractors had done work for us before. I contacted Jon who explained the difference between doing the work with composite decking and stone. We also learned from a survey I commissioned that we would have issues with permeability if we went with stone. Ultimately Jon recommended we go with the Timbertek product for the decking which would replace all the existing concrete and wood. One of the reasons we chose Jon was that he served as our GC/construction manager for the work. We had numerous trades on the job including carpenters, electricians, pool people, demo teams, landscapers, stone masons, to name a few, and I did not want to be responsible for managing all of them plus overseeing the critical path. Jon served in that role wonderfully. Another really great thing that Jon did was recommend that we do the work in Fall '15. We originally wanted to have the work done in Spring '16 as our daughter was getting married Nov '15 and we, and my wife in particular, were a bit manic about having the work going on during the same time as the wedding preparations. We are both so happy that we had the work performed in the Fall '15. As I write this we are now enjoying our beautiful backyard. This was a major project and big $investment for us. I can relate one other specific instance of why Jon was the right guy for us. Early in the project, during the demolition and removal of the pool concrete my wife Nancy was freaking out. I called Jon who came over immediately and explained to us both that this is always how it is at the beginning of these type of jobs and that this was the worst part and all would be well. We were both relaxed because of Jon. Lastly, it has been ~7 months since completion of the work and there are a few minor items that are still being worked out. Jon has been great in communicating and sending his guys over to deal with these few, minor matters. Again, we highly recommend Jon Kontz, Plant Design, for any home project, large or small. We are extremely pleased with the result. Nancy & Mark Goracy 582 Croasdale Drive Langhorne, PA

Update: Plant Design Group carried through on their promise to refund the $110 for the missing…read moreplants and gave me an additional $180 in consideration for doing less than what I expected. I hired Plant Design Group to create a garden area of about 200 square feet and plant 34 plants. The job called for removing sod, tilling, mulching, etc. First, they laid out the design and started to remove sod before I gave the OK - consequently there is a part of the lawn where the sod was removed and replaced that has not grown back adequately. More troublesome is the fact that they only created a 160 square foot garden area that contains only 29 plants. When I asked them to finish the job, they only offered to refund me $110 for the missing plants. As for the square footage, they claim their specs only said "up to 200 sq ft' - they claim 160 sq feet satisfies their specs! I expected "up to 200 sq ft" to mean "close to 200". But 160 is 20% less than what I and any reasonable person would expect.

Their integrity from the siding job ensured they are the only roofing company I trusted to replace my roof October 2018. During the roof estimate Jeff the owner was thorough outlining all that would be done, what the job entailed, and answered my questions. I appreciated how knowledgeable he is! My access to the attic is difficult and therefore any damage could not be accessed prior so Jeff included "what if" scenarios. Fortunately some shingle rise was due to loose nails along the plywood seams, not rot. The roofing crew was punctual, professional, and my yard and driveway was meticulously cleaned up afterwards.
