Cheap candles, the ones everyone pays a lot of money for at nationwide retailers, don't melt as evenly and the pillars often blow out the side if you don't trim the wicks constantly. So you like a good Yankee Candle? But, you hate their…read moreprices? And you of course don't have one of their BOGO coupons available at the moment? Sounds like a plan as to a limited extent I feel the same way. I live a little less than an hour away from Lehighton so while far, a trip to the Blue Mountain home office is not impossible looking for a cheaper alternative. As a point of context a typical Yankee Candle large jar is twenty four ounces with a burn time of 110-150 hours at a standard sticker price of $27.99. At Blue Mountain their large jars are listed at lasting 125-150 hours for a sticker price of $15.99. Of course the rub is that the scent from a BM candle is nowhere near as potent as one from Yankee. Sorry, but that is fact. But BM does have a ton of scents available and while not every scent is good (who the hell is buying the fresh cut grass candle?) the choices they offer easily rival Yankee. If you go for a visit to the home office in Lehighton a few things are noteworthy: 1. The hours on the door of the building list them as opening at 10am and their website lists directions to the store but no hours which is bizarre but they do open at 9am on weekdays. 2. The store has an entrance door on both sides of the building but the parking lot on the east side of the building is a little rough with pot holes so watch yourself lest you loose a tire or destroy your suspension. 3. Seemingly there is little to no heat in the building so if you are there on a cold day it doesn't feel all that different in the store as opposed to what it feels like outside. 4. Candles are not the only thing sold at the store as they also offer various country home decor items that while I suppose are nice, to me they would only be interesting to my grandmother. If you can't get to the store and live in the area chances are eventually you will come across a school age member of your family selling BM candles as they are big into school fundraising. Now I realize that not everyone can get their hands on something from Blue Mountain Candle with it being in Lehighton but if you can it's a decent alternative to Yankee until the next time they offer a BOGO coupon.

I purchased a few of the Rewine candles from Susan's Treasures before, so I know the Rewine candles are of great quality and burn evenly down to the bottom of the recycled wine bottles. That in itself is a great value, the wonderful scent that burns to the very end of the wick. I must say the staff at Susan's is consistently friendly and helpful. My only disappointment is that I purchased the last Rewine candle in the store.

This place is HUGE as it encompasses two historic storefronts that date back to the 19th century. They upgraded my 25 Oz candle to a HUGE one, (wow..its big!) , sent me a jar of free wax melts and a free wick trimmer. (Which is adorable). If I could give 10 stars for the product I would. These are the best smelling candles I've ever come across. I think the ship time needs work, and I'm not sure I'll order from the website again if I need them quick, but there is cute gift shop in my state that sells them so I will definitely be buying more when I get back there. I have contacted and left messages several times and twice talked with "Rachel" with no resolution. I was hoping to do more business with this company but will never place another order. If were to give a score on products alone, it would be 5 stars. But the poor customer service, lack of communication and not standing by their product would be 0 stars.

Today, I discovered Tabitha Brown's Donna's Recipes hair products line. This Target still has a nice selection of Valentine items. I was able to get in and out of the store without any long lines. The staff at this location is consistently friendly and helpful. Target consistently offers excellent value through Circle Value discounted deals and its selection.

Decided only to buy a canfdle and get out. Found candle and went to self checkingout but there were no bags except thos all over the floor. Lady at selfcheckout just looked at her phone and the ceiling but not at shoppers. I left the candle right there with all the other things people just put down and walked out and walked around the hand carts and trash that had piled up.
