Keystone antiques is a fun shop to poke around in. There is an amazing amount of old timey eye-candy, and sometimes surprising little treasures to discover.
You wouldn't think the shop is as large as it is by the small storefront. In fact, when you just step inside the door and look toward what appears to be the back of the shop wall of the shop you won't see about half of the entire square footage. The space goes very deep, and past the doorway into the back, and it is wider than the store front section.
Calling this an antique store may be a bit of a liberal use of the word, if not limiting to what you can expect to find.
You DO find some antiques pieces here, along with some collectibles, some clothing and jewelry, and all manner of other items. I really think of this shop more like a vintage thrift store, than an antique store. It is kind of like going to an estate sale for someone who collected all sorts of things over decades. But... this doesn't make the shop any less appealing.
It is merchandised fairly well, and is as neat and clean as you can make a shop that is so jam packed with small items. I was able to slowly peruse, unaccosted, but when I had questions, and wanted a closer look at some vintage sterling silver jewelry (one of my harmless vices) I received friendly, patient, knowledgeable service.
All-in-all I like this shop. I've got my eye on a couple of things that I'll be checking back on. read more
