THEY MURDERED MY CAT!…read more My stall door was held in place providing a 6 inch opening so Thelma's could get in but predators wouldn't fit. Nick & Austin replaced the light in that stall. They couldn't remember how far the door was open so they decided to tie it open just one inch. Why would they assume any size opening would be okay when I had used Velcro on both sides of the door to hold it open precisely 6 inches. They knew it was securely held open in a specific manner because they put the Velcro straps back on! They just assumed one inch would good enough. But why would I have those Velcro straps on if it didn't matter? Why did they not just ask or tell me they forgot. It went unnoticed for 4 days. We fixed the door a week ago and every day I put Thelma's fresh food out and every day I weep as I empty the untouched food. I cry the entire time I'm in the barn caring for the horses. I can't do anything; I'm paralyze with sadness. I have prayed nonstop, I can't stop crying, I can't eat & I can't sleep. We have so many coyotes here and it's become obvious that Nick & Austin fed my sweet beloved Thelma to the coyotes. I can't get these images out of my mind. I'm so devastated and suffering with unrelenting grief. The pain is unbearable. My sweet baby was torn to death because she couldn't get in her house. I hear the coyotes every night which breaks my heart all over again. I don't understand Nick & Austin's careless, thoughtless & irresponsible behavior. Their lackadaisical attitude, inattention to detail, lack of critical thinking and absolutely no regard for me or my things. They previously had neglected to secure the outlets they installed. The outlets came right out of the wall. I let this go but now it's clear that there's a pattern of sloppy work. What they've done is unconscionable. They never even called to apologized. Merry Christmas to me.

Smiling Steve's Furniture Shack - Our purchase: mid century dressers and lamp

They have antiques through contemporary plus a few decorative items like lamps. The small store is packed full so you really need to look around. The owners get new items in regularly so check back every few weeks if you are looking for something in particular. I found a nice mid century set of dressers and a couple of mid century inspired lamps. The dressers were priced well since one needed a set of legs. I was able to find a very similar set on the internet, so very happy with my purchase.

The store is both clean and very well merchandised. I immediately found just the piece I was looking for, sadly it was just sold and waiting to be picked up. The owner told me they were getting another big truckload in just a couple days, but they move stuff quick! So, I will check back often, especially since I drive past several times weekly. Oh yeah, they also put a few pieces out front in easy view as you drive by. Pretty cool... and smart! I did find a very inexpensive used shelving rack, a type I have been wanting for some time. I got a great price on it too! Woohoo! They've only been open a few weeks, but I think they will be a great addition to our "Miller Valley" area. The are definitely worth a drive to check out no matter what area of Prescott you are in.
