The first time we entered the property we were overwhelmed with its beauty and amenities. That feeling has never left us. The home is clean, tastefully decorated, with attention to details that assure our stay will be pleasant. Every single year we notice that the owners invest in improvements that provide the most enjoyable experience possible. Friends have joined us for a week at a time and often leave saying this is the best vacation ever. Our daughter's family stays with us during their children's Christmas vacation. When mom suggested to the children that they fly down here the day after Christmas rather than travel on Christmas day, there was near mutiny. Understandable. We can fish off the dock, bicycle anywhere we want, enjoy beautiful sunsets over the bay from the observation tower, kayak to mangroves, or play games on the porch. We appreciate the owners who have made this experience possible. We appreciate the professionalism of the Keys Holiday Rentals staff who is always available should a need arise. We are already booked for next winter. Janet & Rob Coombs

Our issues with the home were addressed immediately however we would not rent this particular home again known as Lyon's Landing. We loved the home, its pool, and grounds but found ourselves fighting against German cockroaches the entire month (mostly in the kitchen and living area). Two visits from an exterminator did very little. the situation put a huge "damper" on our vacation. Think twice before renting this particular property. It can take months, if ever, to eradicate these pests.

We were embarrassed that we had invited relatives to go on this vacation with us. The house stunk. It looked as if there had been an attempt at renovation but someone gave up. Outside, there were construction debris and a trash container with a hideous odor (which had obviously been sitting for some time beside the street). There were mold and holes in the walls both upstairs and downstairs. Some lightning fixtures were installed too near the ceilings and the paint was burning off. We were afraid to leave the lights on for too long a time. One load of clothes in the washer and dryer took a very, very long time to cycle. The linens were threadbare and the mattresses uncomfortable. We were seriously overcharged for this rental and will never return to Islamorada."

Our only complaint would be that the ice machine on the property did not function well at all. You could only get a few buckets of ice first thing in the morning or you were out of luck. I know…read morethe agent, Rhonda Simonds-Brewer who I believe to be the most well connected broker in the Keys thru her network of agents and Friends. Me and my wife decided to see what the market was like and asked Rhonda to work up a portfolio and price out the property. In a day I received a complete overview of the local market along with some of own personal suggestions. After agreeing to go ahead with the sale I called Rhonda and told her that I would be leaving the following morning at 10:00AM sharp and please see what she could do. The next morning she called me and said that she had three perspective buyers and she would be in touch. At about 1:00PM we get a call as we are driving back up to our home that she has just sold the condo at full listing price as I almost drive off the road. Folks, it just doesn't get any better then that. Her insight and diverse network, make her the only broker to use in the Keys.

We worked with Walter Ceballos to sell our home in Marathon. We interviewed four different…read morecompanies. All of them except Walter gave us "off the top of their heads" value assessments and very vague comments about what's selling in the area. Walter requested a day to pull together some information and then came back with comps from our neighborhood (not very useful since the values on our street range from multi-million to under a million) and listings of homes in the area similar to ours. He helped us set a realistic price and made some suggestions on staging the home for photographs. The photos were amazing. And the house sold in less than a week. His thoroughness and professionalism throughout the entire process from listing, to showing to negotiating made a great impression on us. We'd highly recommend him.
