Came in today at 12pm and somehow got front-row seats to the slowest bank experience of my life. There were 2 people working, no line, and still nobody helped me. One employee was with a customer for way too long, and the other dude was just sitting in his booth doing absolutely nothing like he was on display or something. I waited over 15 minutes just standing there looking confused, and not one person said hello, we'll be right with you, or even please wait. Not even the bare minimum. I really started wondering if I accidentally walked into a museum exhibit called Unbothered Employees in Their Natural Habitat. Ended up leaving because clearly my presence was just decorative. KeyPoint Brokaw. I am a special case, they are helping me with a conservatorship for a friend of mine. Odd stuff. Not normal daily work. Gina, Jessica, Jazlyn and the crew at Brokaw have been above and beyond the BEST I have dealt with in Silicon Valley They have worked with me to get conservatorship set up, walked me through what paperwork they needed, helped get accounts straightened out. THEN! we find out someone has been scamming the conservatee! a lot. They all joined together helping me get disputes filed, working patiently to get everything going well. Keypoint is almost perfect Credit Union, but due to their greediness they are no better than an ordinary bank. Pros: - Modern WWW interface - 2FA using Google Authenticator (or any other similar) - Online Wire transfers - Zelle - Public SWIFT code - Nice, _local_ customer support that you can talk to. (No AI as of the end of 2024) Cons: GREEDY! They used to offer one time outgoing ACH transfers for free, now the only alternative to one time deposit money to a 3rd party account is $30 wire (plus any fees on the recipient side). Why this is a problem: - Not every one is enrolled with Zelle, - Venmo or Paypal is a 3rd party app and I don't like their T&Cs - I don't want to "link" all my accounts held by 3rd party banks since its time consuming and allows the money to move both ways - Wires are expensive ($30 outgoing + $10-$30 incoming) SHAME! My solar loan was bought out by KeyPoint. The original owner of the loan allowed for temporary release of mechanics lien on loan for refinancing. KeyPoint refused honor that agreement and provide temporary release of the lien. This prevented me from refinancing and ultimately cost me nearly 40k over the life of my loan. They were unfriendly, unhelpful, and sent me through many departments before I even got a final answer. I would avoid them at all costs, even if they offer you the cheapest loan you can find. read more

Took 6 hours to send a wire transfer that was initiated the day before costing delays for a home purchase, as well as delays I getting keys! After several phone calls of follow up to make sure the wire I send asap finally at 1:20 another rep lied and promised the wire would go out later 1:30. Didn't go out until 2:10. The purpose of a wire is to send money asap securely!!! I would give them Zero stars! Never recommend!! I will be closing all person and business accounts asap! read more

For as far back as I can remember our family has used Keypoint Credit Union as our mainstay banking platform. Over the years KPCU and its staff had provided high quality customer service which we came to expect and enjoy. I was planning to stay with the Credit Union for a long time however a recent incident with their customer service, and lack of proper resolution, has changed my viewpoint of the company. In essence, I spoke with one of their support centers about a mobile deposit and was given information that wasn't aligned with the what they could actually do -- I wanted to stop an incoming mobile deposit (and was charged for that service) however when I talked to one of their branch employees they explained that this was not a service that they provided. Due to the time sensitive nature of this request my roommate incurred numerous overdraft fees since his original check was not supposed to go through. This also resulted in financial strain on my end. When I spoke with KPCU management about compensation / resolution avenues they fell quite short even though the issue stemmed from an internal miscommunication. I will not be using KPCU's services in the future. read more

She filled up the application and went to "review " the application she ran a "soft credit report without my permission. Came back and said they couldn't accept the application. She went above and beyond our expectations by responding and answering all of our questions within a timely manner, and also by making the buyout and financing process super quick.
