RANT: Not a single key was made and time was wasted. Here's the story: Car key broke in half in the ignition chamber and, fortunately, we (my mother and myself) were able to get the other half of the key without it becoming lodged in the start_up mechanism. Proceeded to a contact a locksmith after a failed attempt at a Home Depot. That's when Key4less with Abraham comes into the picture. After our intial phone call, we exchange key (no pun intended) information about the situation. Bout an hour later, he arrives ready to work. Work...by "work", I mean staring at our Locksmith as he spent all 45minutes present looking at driver history paperwork to see if owner (my mother) of the car (Ford Focus '00) had all the paperwork up to date after explaining to him repeatedly that it was a non-operation from 2015 until the present. There was nothing else we could provide other than heartfelt testimonals about the Focus belonging to us and all the memories it brought us.....still nothing. ....Moments of silence pass as Abraham now dons a bluetooth and proceeds to call Ford themselves to varify that my mother is indeed the master of this car that she claims to be. Mind you this all took place around 9pm-ish on a Tuesday...NO ONE at Ford is taking that call...THIS goes on (phone call) for another 10-15minutes as we stare at him staring into his phone waiting for someone to answer. Frustrated at this point I return to the Focus and open the hood to recover the battery so I can take it to AutoZone in the morning. I turn around, with car battery in a towel in my arms, to see my mom standing there w all paperwork that she showed to locksmith...WHO HAD JUST PULLED OFF AND LEFT. No goodbye, no farewell, or well-wishings, just ghost and left. W.T.F. I'm positive that THIS is not the standard. Definitely looking elsewhere. Judging from the reviews the dude seems stellar. One early morning a few months ago, I realized my office keys were left inside the office. At 6am I frantically went through Google and Yelp looking for a locksmith. Ibrahim was super nice and was able to create an extra key fob for my car. It was super convenient too because I had contacted him through yelp. There is an option on yelp to message the companies and someone will respond to you right away or within a couple minutes. Out of all the locksmiths I had contacted....Ibrahim was the one who contacted me first right away and was able to get me an appointment within the same day. I had let him know what day I was available and he was able to come within the hour. He parked right next to my car (which is parked in a garage alley and people usually get lost and cannot find it, so I was already surprised that he was next to my car). He drives a mini van that has all his tools in it and the company's name is listed in bold on the truck itself so don't feel sketched out lol. He had the key fob ready and just needed to install it. At first, he was having technical trouble Bc my car didn't want to accept it. So he said that he would order the part he needed then come back next week. I was perfectly fine waiting because I wasn't in a hurry to have an extra key Fob. I went upstairs to my apartment and He had called me again within 30 min and said that he figured it out!! He was able to install everything within about 1 hr! I was planning on paying with a credit card but there is a percentage charge so I recommend paying in cash! I assumed if you were running a business you would be a little nicer over the phone. 1.You didn't state the company's name you angrily mumbled something. Yes I misunderstood when you asked if I was on the registration, I heard you say If I had it.I am the owner of the truck because I've been driving this truck for the past 3 years. It's under my mothers name. I clearly explained that to you. We have the same last name and I am under the insurance. Please don't assume I am trying to break into someone else truck. I am not a thief. If you were to take the time to talk to your customers and not be so rude you would understand that. I understand that you can't just go around opening cars for people. But at least take the time to explain that to me or see if there's another way of helping me. You should be able to double verify with another document. I have the registration. I have proof of insurance. I am legally able to drive this car. If I were to get stopped by any law officer I wouldn't be fined. Just the way I was treated and even now bashing me over yelp. This guy is a master of his trade, I locked myself out of my car while washing it, He came over in 30 minutes and was able to get me back into my car in less then 10. I also had him rekey a Laser cut key he was able to program another chip for it as well. Stealership wanted $250+ for the key as well as he rekeyed another one for my second car with an immobilizer in the key.
