I went to the kiosk at Agnes Ave today. It is the one where the Grocery Outlet is. I said I need key, he said $3.00. I gave him the key and he made a new key in about 15 seconds. I gave him my credit card and he said We charge $1 for that. I asked if I used a debit card would he charge $1. He said yes. His customer service was so poor, I sarcastically said: Thank you for your customer service. I will go anywhere for new keys in the future. Very poor customer service. I will never go back to this location again. Go to the one by Big Lots instead or Medford. The owner is a grumpy old man who has no manners. He was rude and unhelpful. Here's a backstory: The first time I came in was to get a simple house key made and he wasn't very friendly. Then I came back to get a key with fab made for my car because it was the only place in town that I could do it. It took quite a long time to get the parts for it for them to program it. Then the fab that I paid about $100 for was scuffed up. (Maybe it was refurbished) but I was told that it would be new. So I asked to get one that was not scratched up and the owner treated me like an idiot for wanting a key in good condition. He got one for me eventually but unfortunately I was going to have to sell my car due to unfortunate circumstances. So I got a refund for the fab but paid for the blade that he cut for me. Later on, my circumstances changed and I asked if I could go ahead and make the key since I was keeping the car. Granted, I can see how that could be annoying but it wasn't my fault. Maybe I should have figured out a way to come up with the rest of the money for the fab but it was a lot of money for a car I couldn't keep.. anyway, the manager was a jerk yet again and said he wouldn't order that key for me ever again. Idk I could see how he would be slightly irritated but he didn't lose money. I paid for the wasted blade. And he was a jerk from the get go. I am so impressed with this business!! A spring in my front door handle broke, which is something hard to fix. To replace the part from the manufacturor would have meant spending $260; replacing it with a new handle set would have meant exposed holes in the door. After coming out to my house, the technician was able to replace the spring succesfully and charged me only $20!!! I highly recommend this business! read more

We just had our home re-keyed and had a had an electronic keypad deadbolt installed on the front door. To re-key 2 doors, we were charged $131. To purchase and install the front door with the electronic keypad deadbolt...$225. That didn't include the handle underneath the lock. For that the charge was $260. So the Key Man charged us $485 just for the front door. When I looked online for the exact model deadbolt it cost retail $112. The handle was about $30 bucks. We paid $616 to get our house re-keyed and an electronic deadbolt. The guy gave us a bill with a straight face. AMAZING!!! read more

Looks like someone else had a bad experience here. I've been 3 times for key copies to be made and had a really good experience. Keys always work, staff are always friendly, prices seem to be competitive. It's also rare to have a brick-and-mortar locksmith store these days (as most are only mobile), which is super convenient. read more

needed a broken extracted from my front door lock, he quoted me 39.00 to get the guy to the home 10 miles away, then said they don't usually extract broken keys, but when his tech arrives he will quote me probly 139.00 or more to remove broken key and make 2 more. I have used Key Man services for years and have found them very helpful. I have rentals and they have changed the locks, fixed door knobs, and met every need. The only thing that gets them 4 rather than 5 stars is wait time. I've found them honest and knowledgeable. I totally disagree with the ratings that are shown. Worse mistake going there! My dad used to be a Lock Smith, so let me just tell you he knows his stuff. My dad needed him to make keys for a lock and the man told my dad that he could not do that but re-key it for $35. My dad told him that he could just do it a certain way and that he should not lie to people's faces and not try to take people's money....and my dad walked out. I had a great experience buying the safe ...moving it however was a different story ...my father was completely taken advantage of and over charged by the person making the delivery who was very rude and bullied him ...I was quoted 150 charge for the move and fifty dollars for the miles for a total of 200... I own a business and notified them I'd have my employees meet them and unneeded an hour notice so that I could have them ready ....they called a day early for delivery and insisted I did it that day ...furthermore he was extremely high on crystal meth the entire time and barking threats to everyone around him ...then says my method of payment isn't acceptable take it up with the office which I agree to have my dad call in and do ...that's when he charged my dad almost double what the quote was ...I was never notified of a charge nor agreed to one or signed a contract signifying Those terms... therefore making it a theft ..filing a report with the bad buss. I called the Key Man and asked that they install 2 deadbolts and rekey the locks on both the front and the backdoor. There is already an old-fashioned "latch" type lock on the front door. They did not rekey that and I locked myself out the next day (I have a manual slide-lock on the backdoor that can only be opened from the inside). They charged me the emergency labor rate of $75 (instead of regular rate of $40) to come the next day and let me in. They "waived" the $12.00 rekey fee. I sent them a letter of complaint and received a very sarcastic letter in return, which included several lies. I would dearly love to publicly post this letter exchange somewhere, so Grants Pass residents know how sleazy this guy is. Does anyone know where I might be able to do that?
