Ryan and his team are very professional, and always kept me informed through the entire process. They do everything they can to make sure you are well taken care of and make sure you not only get a great loan you want, but make sure you get the house you want too! And my interest rate was even lower than expected!!! I wouldn't trust any other company to find me the best mortgage possible. We were referred to Valerie through a recommendation from a friend. From the first meeting we were…read moreconvinced she was a perfect fit for us. She was approachable and down to earth, allowing room for us to express concerns or hesitations and ask plenty of questions. We knew next to nothing when it came to the home buying process but Valerie was more than willing to explain in simple terms what the process would look like without piling on too much information at once. She always helped us to focus on what was in the immediate future and not stress over the details. We ended up dealing with an extremely difficult seller, to say the least, but Valerie never once backed down. She fought for us every step of the way. In fact, she began to seek out additional wisdom from trusted figureheads in the industry to make sure she was making the best course of action and executing it with the utmost integrity. In the end, we got our first home with additional fixes that we weren't expecting. Valerie did that. She and her team are exceptional and I cannot recommend her enough. Partner with her on buying or selling your home. You will not regret it.

When going on tours of homes, she made sure to point out potential issues, as well as perks that we may not have noticed. She never pressured us to put offers on houses that may not have been perfect, and gave excellent guidance while writing offers. Just to put into context how great she is, we bought a house in one of the hottest sellers markets in the country, during one of the biggest sellers markets in history. We got the perfect house for a fair price, and even were able to negotiate substantial credits back from the sellers for repairs. In this market, that is unheard of, and we couldn't have done it without her. Valerie is a caring, thoughtful individual, and we absolutely recommend her!

My father died and my mother had to file a matter with the probate court a while after his death. A…read moreweek or so after the court filing was made, we received a targeted advertisement from Ms. Walker promoting her services. Basically "so sorry for your loss...do you want to hire me to sell your inherited property?" So, as best I can tell, this individual combs the public probate filings so she can send mailers to recently bereaved families. Possibly the tackiest method of advertising I've ever seen. Why not just show up at the funeral and hand out business cards? Ms. Walker, if you read this review, rather than defend yourself I truly hope you give this practice some thought and consider that some methods of gaining clients should be off limits.

This is not a hateful review. I just want to honestly express my experience of working with Sherri…read more I know she will be commenting after seeing my review and trying to make her look better with some lies (as I've seen her doing before) but I chose to write this review anyways to raise a red flag for future people - so they don't need to go through the same problems. I wished I had more time to do my research before hiring her. She seems to be a nice person but just not a good Realtor. When we met her, we basically had 3 days to find a property. She showed us a handful of properties between Auburn, Nevada City and finally found us a place in Placerville. I think this part was pretty easy and she did a good job. The process of buying a house is one of the most stressful (and expensive) situations a person can get in. Now you add to this fact: the buyers are living 3k miles away plus they never purchased a house in CA before plus they are going into cancer treatment... We do understand that this process can go in "some" unexpected directions - as we did purchase 3 houses and sold 1 in another state before within a 7 years period. Sherri seemed to be a nice person and she really promised a lot, using beautiful words: loyalty, experience, attention... and we believed her :-( The reason most people hire Realtors is because those professionals are supposed to "walk the buyers" through the entire process with knowledge, respect, professionalism and caring - I don't think she did that. She doesn't have enough experience and none of the descriptions above - which we found out later. We almost lost our property a few times because of that. At some point during the process (that took about a month) she gave up on us. She was never very attentive or savvy but a few weeks into the process she became a ghost. Based on her feedback, she said this happened because I told her that we had a "business relationship" and she got "hurt" by that. Well, I had to say that because she takes things way to personally (and not in a good way). I can prove everything I'm saying here. Because of Sherri's lack of professionalism, buying this property was the worst real estate experience I have had.

He patiently and enthusiastically showed us numerous properties, a process that helped us figure out exactly what we wanted and what we could realistically afford. Casey is very professional and will patiently help you understand all the paperwork you have to read and sign (during the offer phase and subsequent purchase phase). He doesn't gloss over things -- he knows how important the details in the fine print are! From the beginning of our search, Casey was honest about the fact that the core of his knowledge and experience was in homes (rather than land), which we appreciated. But we stuck with him because he was obviously committed to working hard and because he came with a glowing recommendation from a friend. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars was that, at times, Casey was difficult to reach or slow to get back to us. That's probably because he has healthy boundaries between work and his time off -- something we should all strive for, to be honest. (We're city slickers, so we can only hope to get to that point someday.) But in the end, we're super happy with the land we bought and are happy to know that Casey is our advocate and friend. He's a good one to have on your side.

He had added $75,000 to my limit, something I had to correct before we left. I found that surprising since we had made all arrangements through email and he had a paper trail to refer to. Then the places he showed me seemed to be the bottom of the barrel with none of the elements I asked for. Since I've looked at this area before while prices were high, and now was shopping with more money, it struck me as odd that all he could show me was stuff that looked unlivable unless I went to a higher range. I never even got to see the area I wanted. I had come to see Nevada City and Grass Valley, but once we were on the road he informed me those weren't his areas, that I would need to meet with a co-worker to see those areas if I wanted- but I only had the one day in town. When I did find a place I was very interested in, he promised to do the research and get back to me, but even after several calls and emails, he never did. I don't know if I just somehow fell through the cracks or what, but it was a disappointing waste of my time and money.
