But that's the only reason why I'm giving only 4 stars. Rest is all good. The vegetables are the cheapest you will find! And they're fresh too. Costco has food and places to sit and eat while BJ's has only a takeout Dunkin' Donuts. Costco has a full service optical department that accepts health insurance. BJ's has a small optical department that does not accept health insurance. On the plus side for BJ's which is closer to me, I like that there are signs that tell you what items are in a particular aisle. Also, the lines at BJ's tend to be shorter (although on this particular visit, my checkout line was manned my the slowest cashier I've ever experienced at either wholesale club). All in all, both rate 3 1/2 stars, both have advantages and disadvantages, both are fun to visit, but I think I would give Costco a very slight edge.
