Brian wasn't especially cordial, but he did offer a few other suggestions. Because it took him forever to respond, however, I had already gotten a great response from a few other places.

The classes I attend start at 8:00 pm and last until 9:30 pm, with an optional warmup at 7:30 pm. Attendance varies but is usually anywhere from 4-8 people depending on the night. Overall, I've learned a ton the handful of times I've gone. Brian is very knowledgeable and passionate about the sport. My fellow classmates are super friendly and encouraging... I'm starting to progress and will hopefully be confident enough one day to take part in one of the tournaments he organizes. Not only are the grounds well maintained, the view of the nearby lake is stunning (particularly from the portico), the equipment is first-rate, and the health instructors are passionate about their craft. I was able to take part in a fitness challenge consisting of several CrossFit-like events (the Midtown Challenge) and I learned several fundamentals of Tennis during my time with the Club. The gym is consistently overcrowded, equipment is often unavailable, and parking can be extremely frustrating. For a club charging this much every month, I expected far better access, convenience, and overall value. One of the main reasons I joined was specifically to become part of a tennis community. Unfortunately, that has probably been the most disappointing part of my experience. The members running the so-called tennis groups have, in my experience, been unwelcoming and at times outright rude. Instead of feeling like a club that encourages members to connect, play, and build a community, the tennis side seems far more focused on lessons, coaching, and bringing in additional paying students. That was especially disappointing because at this price point, members should feel like they are actually part of a club -- not simply another source of revenue. At $300+ per month, I simply do not believe the experience justifies the cost. I have dealt with overcrowding, difficulty using equipment, parking issues, an unwelcoming tennis environment, and what feels like a constant emphasis on finding additional ways to charge members. I joined hoping to find a premium gym and a strong tennis community. Instead, I am leaving feeling that the club is far more focused on maximizing revenue than creating a positive experience for its members. I will be canceling my membership.

I was asking you to hold a hat you already confirmed you had while I was traveling internationally. This tells you everything you need to know about how this company operates. They had my contact info. They had the hat. They made a deliberate choice to throw it away rather than make a two-minute phone call. If that's how they handle small things, imagine how they handle big ones. There are plenty of gyms in Miami. Find one that treats members like adults.

My daughter attended nearly every practice throughout the season, yet when I questioned her lack of playing time at tournaments, our concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. More troubling was the behavior of her coach. On multiple occasions, players were called derogatory names, and it was not uncommon to see athletes leave practices or tournaments in tears. Several parents documented concerns regarding the coach's conduct, yet the club continued to support him without meaningful accountability. The club also promised opportunities for players to share their concerns through individual meetings, but those meetings never took place. When I expressed that my daughter was not comfortable meeting alone with her coach lmy concerns were repeatedly ignored and no alternative solution was offered. After ultimately leaving the club, I requested a refund for the final month since my daughter was no longer participating. The club refused and has remained unwilling to work toward a reasonable resolution. Based on our experience, I would encourage families to carefully consider their options before committing to this club. There are other organizations that place a greater emphasis on player development, communication, and accountability, and who do not value their monthly fee more than their players well being.

This is a risk, huge insurance liability because it's allowed all daily with no repercussions. Posting a sign will cont cover you in court when you allow it to happen everyday -same members. Location is great. Members are pretty nice and except for weights all over place- they respect one another. Staff all seem friendly enough.

The coaches at Phoenix are great - energetic, fun and very encouraging. I am a PE teacher at an elementary school and I absolutely approve of their method. I even borrowed a few drills for my classes! I highly recommend Phoenix for beginners and experienced players. I am thrilled for the opportunity for my boys to learn this family friendly game at such a young age. I plan on joining the adult classes as well, why not? There is not a better sport to enjoy our lovely Miami weather.
