A great community resource... if you can access it. The park and pool's website information has not been updated. Hours and cost information listed online are not correct. The pool is lovely and well-maintained. You can swim laps, paddle around, or take swimming lessons at different times of the day. I tried to use the pool a couple of times during the day but wasn't able to because it was either mysteriously closed or had no public access - swim lessons were being given. The changing rooms are a bit... Spartan and rustic - nothing but a few benches in a concrete box. Do not go by the hours listed online. You have to physically go to the pool and look at the noticed posted at the pool entrance. (see photo) The price online is also wrong. The fact that it is late June and the Recreation Center sill has a lit Christmas tree in the lobby lets you know that oversight and management is nearly non-existent. If they don't have the leadership to pack a Christmas tree in a box, then certainly don't expect the website to show current information. read more

What a sweet little pool in the heart of Downtown/Brickell! Right on the Miami River, you can watch the boats go by as you swim your laps. And at only $3 per adult, it's a steal! I was worried they wouldn't take credit cards since it's such a low fee, but they do. The pool didn't feel like a typical 25 yard length, so I asked the lifeguard and he says it's a 33 meter pool. Bear in mind as you plan your workout. Pool has five or six lanes and is flanked by bleachers and some very basic changing room/shower facilities. Lap swim hours (pictured) are pretty extensive Monday through Friday. Less so Saturday and Sunday but still workable. I came in the middle of a work day and had a lane to myself. read more

I recently made my return to the Jose Marti pool. My siblings and I would come to this neighborhood pool since I can remember. It's located in East Little Havana, or Riverside..whatever you wanna call this area..its super accessible w free parking. The pool is next to the Miami River. Weekends are pretty busy w boaters cruising by and birthday celebrations happening outside at the park. Entry fee is $3.00 per person. Lounge chairs are comfy and always available. Water for my liking is a little too warm, but it's always refreshing and clean. The bathrooms are always clean and maintained. Visit for a nice day at the pool! read more

I swam in this pool while visiting Miami. I mostly liked my experience, although there are a couple things I would improve on. The pool is 25 yards and is divided into lanes for most of the day, however they do have aqua aerobic classes from 10-11am, during which time there's only two lanes. All in all, the pool was not very crowded, so it wasn't bad swimming laps even during aerobics. The two things I didn't care for were the complete lack of lockers (?!?) and the small amount of seating. Otherwise, this was an easy pool to drop into and swim some laps! read more

Came here twice but unable to swim. Complete lack of information online about changing schedules. They were closed on Saturday 1/13/2024 for cleaning g but there was no information online only after you made the trip to find the sign on the door. The open swim hours are M-F 3-7pm and SaSun 9am-5pm, also nowhere to be found online. There could be more effort made in making information more accessible and available. read more

How do you secure a swim lesson in this city!?! The parks and recreation system has switched over to eventbrite which is like a ticketmaster for the pools. You call the park and they tell you that you can only register on a specific day at six in the morning, but when you go to register within five seconds of the clock striking six everything is sold out!!! AT EVERY pool in the city. Upon doing some research, Desantis has signed a bill about giving vouchers for children under four for free swim lessons and then there are even scholarships to get free swim lessons for older kids, but of course you have to make 200% below poverty line. There go the spots for the lessons. I guess us families that make over poverty line but still barely living check to check can afford the private swim lessons at $350! I cant even teach my own kids as the public pools are only open from 3-7 on select days for public swimming. Someone needs to fix our broken system. read more

Great water temperature, nice lap lane set up, kickboards and pull buoys available. The downside is that the changing rooms and bathroom stalls are pretty gross and need to be maintained a lot better. read more

I swam laps at the Jose Marti aquatic center midweek around noon time. I found it to be a gem of a pool for any serious swimmer. It is located on the edge of downtown under the elevated highways. Parking is free and entry is $3 for an adult. The changing rooms are basic, open rooms with benches, a bathroom, and several individual showers. The pool was clean, 25 meters, and I had my own lane. Water temperature felt perfect. I had minimal interaction with the locals, maybe a hello. The front desk worker was generally friendly and the life guard was on duty 100% of time. read more

I don't know what the poor reviewers expect from a municipal pool with a very modest $3:00 admission fee. The pool and other facilities are well maintained, the changing/shower facilities are clean and functional (you are not paying for a private club membership). I came from out of town and swam on a Saturday morning about 11:00 AM. Most of the lanes were being shared the entire time by what appeared to be fairly serious recreational lap swimmers. It did change over to only 2 lap lanes at 12:00 but all of the locals knew this and I finished up my remaining laps alone. I hope I have enough time during my conference to come again. read more

Went here with my family and there was only 6 lanes, they decided to make it down to 3 lanes, then this two people came buy a guy and an old lady who always come to this place as was said by them them selfs and asked us to leave the pool because they always swim in this lanes we had to leave with in 1hr of being there and 45 min was spent hearing the staff and the other two disrespecting us the whole time, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE its a Mistake and if reviews are good on google they are all fake by its members read more

I wish I could give 0 stars !!!! Never in my life have I experienced racism, this is my first time at this pool my family and I were racing back and fourth with each other . A couple came into the pool screaming yelling at my daughter to get out of her lane . We were all be confused as to what she was talking about . She continued to scream about how she comes here everyday to train so she has the right to train , we explained to her that we were racing and she can use a single lane alone , this is when things escalated she continued to say " go back to your country " "you don't belong here" . This was all because she wanted 3 lanes to swim meanwhile we came there first and it was 8 of us . I wish I checked yelp earlier , I saw from google reviews 4 star I am assuming those were fake ! overall , DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY !!!!!!!! read more

I decided to check this pool out with my boyfriend one day after work and we both had the worst experience we have ever had anywhere else in the world. Its $3 per person to go in; no biggie. The lifeguard in the window explained to us that the 3 right lanes are open for laps and the rest was for private lessons. Great, no problem. As soon as we get there, we went into the pool through the pool ladder because that is a safe and reasonable way to enter the pool, right?? Well as soon as our feet touched the water, a rude, disgusting and completely unlikeable man came up to us from the end of the pool to tell us that this lane was closed for private lessons. Even though in the front they told us this lane would be available. Ok, no biggie, there's two lanes available. I swam a few laps and my boyfriend can't swim so he can't get past the 5ft. We moved out of the way to the edge of our lane to catch a breather, since I swam a few laps and the rude man came up to us in a completely unprofessional manner and yelled for us to get out of the pool because these lanes had now become for trainers only. Mind you, there was a man doing the same thing as us, just standing in the water looking and he didn't get told anything. We went to the front to speak with someone about this incident and he the man took no initiative whatsoever. He did not apologize; instead he chose to give us funny faces and acted like he didn't know who works in the pool. This man even acted like we were making this whole thing up. He told us the guy that kept harassing us is a "supervisor" lol!!! This place is poorly managed by laughable staff. This place is a waste of time and money that you could spend at the gym right in front. The pool is old and musty so skip it. The whole staff needs to get fired. read more
