Took my clones here for my born day dins and was not very happy... First time there, super cute restaurant but definitely make a reservation if you want to give'r a go; but do it the day before to get the time you want. We got stuck at the bar top not ideal for more than two people imo. We shared the vegan caeser salad... it was sad. Romaine that was starting to turn, pine nuts , bland croutons and a lemon wedge; dressing was ‍ Boy got Kevin's opus Mac & cheese, said it was delicious! I got the nooch Mac & cheez, :( looked good but was so bland salt didn't even help. I had maybe 10 bites of food total. Girl clones nachos came with raw jalapeño-seeds were black. Cheese wasn't even properly melted Chips beyond STALE! Apparently they don't serve them that much... she said it still tastes good but she was being polite. Grab a slice of vegan chocolate cake for home and meh... I remember Stella's choc cake being better... As a vegan, I may consider going back to try something else but probably very not

Matt the server was Great bill was perfect and the meal and surprise me shrimp was excellent. I allowed Matt to pick my appetizer I call it dealers choice. Matt delivered the goods. Small place Big patio good food good price. That's all that's matters. Good job considering I'm a very very picky person.

This place was a really cute and romantic little nook. We had the carbonara, Mac and cheese, and buffalo cauliflower that were delicious! Our server was so fun and gave us out of town people such great recommendations

    Mezze plate...perfect for sharing.

Such a great, quiet, quaint spot. From the moment we walked in we knew it was exactly what we wanted for a night out. Seated as soon as we arrived (with a reservation) at the window where we could watch a film crew shooting in the street. Our server, Kayla, was wonderful - personable and attentive with great suggestions and conversation. Enjoyed two local beers - Half Pints Bulldog Amber and Barn Hammer Grandpa's Sweater. We started with the Mezze plate to share. Loved all the different flavours. It's a definite get again. We each had a Mac and cheese. Unfortunately they were out of the lobster - that's the only reason it's not 5 stars. The Canadiana was cheesy and sweet with the maple syrup with the crunch of salt and vinegar chips. The Nooch, their vegan option, was creamy with a hint of spice. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and look forward to going back.

No high chairs so 1 of 4 had to give up an adult chair and 1 had to sit on a high bar stool. Until they found a spare reg chair. Also noticed they ripped out the change table from one of the washrooms. So not a family friendly place. The server also made faces when we asked to many questions about the menu. Food was great though, no issues there. Reasonably priced too. Seafood Mac was too salty. The Greek tasted like I was actually in Greece. The Original was excellent with my tomato soup. The cheeckpea salad was nice too add to our dishes. The collyflower bites were great if you like Frank's Red Hot.

It was Papa George's for the longest time. I spent a lot of time here, mainly because I lived in this neighbourhood and worked rotating shift work for half my time in Winnipeg. Papa George's was open until 4 am most nights. I am nostalgic. I also am curious. A couple of Mondays ago, I decided to visit my old neighbourhood and check Leopold's Tavern out. I parked across the street in the parking lot near the Liquor Mart store. You have two hours of free parking there. I don't know if anyone was truly clocking time, as it was raining. I walked into the eatery. It looked so different. A female staffer at the bar said to seat myself anywhere that I'd like. I plopped myself at a table with a good view of the Germany vs Paraguay game in FIFA play. I like that you get memorabilia everywhere in this establishment. The Winnipeg Jets 1.0. A bunch of records with record labels such as Polydor. Various world tours from Styx to Eurythmics. I loved everything about it. My server was excellent. He was attentive and helpful. I got a Coke Zero to start. This place didn't have Diet Coke, so I took the next best sugar-free option. It was cold and perfect. Refills were prompt, which I appreciated. I came here on a Monday. It was happy hour all day. Yay! This place has daily specials. I got a scotch egg that was $6 for happy hour. I saved $3. My server asked if I wanted my scotch egg with chipotle mayo, or zesty mustard, or both. I went with chipotle mayo. The egg came out first. It had panko on the outside. The sausage was so good around the soft-boiled egg. I loved this starter so much. I'd get it again in a heartbeat. I got the braised beef dip as my main. It came with a side. I opted for cabbage roll soup. This meal was outstanding. The braised beef was tender. It melted in my mouth with little chewing effort. This sandwich had swiss cheese, mushrooms, caramelized onion, and horseradish mayo. A toasted ciabatta bun held everything together. I dipped it in au jus. It was so flavourful and perfect. I loved my cabbage roll soup. It tasted like a deconstructed cabbage roll in a lovely broth. It was comforting and yummy. For dessert, I got creamsicle churros. I love creamsicles. I love churros. This combination could not be bad. The orange and vanilla sauces on top of crispy churro bites were amazing. It came with whipped cream. I had a bit of it, but wasn't necessary. The sauces worked their own magic. I paid with a credit card. I tipped. I tapped. I was done! The washrooms are in the same spots, but look different. The women's washroom was clean. No issues. This eatery is open till 2 am. It's still decent if you're working rotating shifts, or like a late night bite after a concert or sporting event. I'm glad I dropped by. I had a wonderful time reliving old memories of a past eatery and making new ones by having yummy, creative, good eats. I'll be back to try more items off the menu. (289)

For beverages we had Sangria, cream soda and a Frau Rouge. We started with the Honey Butter chips which were amazing. We also ordered the plant based polenta, Brussels with ricotta, Zaayoon soup and the walleye Mac n cheese. Everyone loved their dishes. The meat eaters thought the walleye Mac n cheese was the best. I was in love with the veggie polenta. For dessert we had the PB + Chocolate Chess Pie. Everything was delicious. We sat by the kitchen and it was amazing to see how the cooks worked in such a small space and how well they communicated with each other. The space is cozy and fun. The staff were kind and helpful. Per the ten year old: "The honey butter chips couldn't have been better. For my main meal I had the walleye Mac n cheese. It was gourmet Mac n cheese with perfectly cooked fish on top and the pasta was bathed in a wonderful herby cheese sauce. Even my dad was sneaking bites of it. The PB+Chocolate Chess Pie was in scrumptious bite size pieces, the waitress even artfully arranged the spoons. Bonus there were bathrooms. We will definitely be coming back."
