They streamlined the entire process and made the repairs easily. Unfortunately, there were some bureaucratic issues in getting my deductible advanced, since the party at-fault was to be billed. Tracy, at the body shop, is truly my guardian Angel. She treated me like family and got everything resolved. She also had the body shop clean my car like it was detailed! I went to one auto body that gave me a starting estimate of $980 plus more if they found more damage underneath, once they took the fender and bumper off. Next, I went to Scotsman's auto body in Mount Sinai on 25A on the corner of 30 Chestnut St. Scotty came out to look at the damage. He assesed what was wrong and repaired the damage in about 15 minutes. Free, no charge! The shop and premises are clean and immaculate and Scotty was so honest and friendly. Tanner was my driver, when he arrived it just started pouring raining. My car is in a safe place,…read moreparked in a parking lot. The transmission light is on and the car is having trouble switching gears/moving at a slow pace. The driver tells me to put it in accessory mode and switch the gear to neutral. He tells me to get in his truck. He proceeds to load the truck on to the flatbed. As we are on our way to the mechanic shop I noticed my daytime lights are on, I said hey you left my car on?, that can drain my battery, Tanner says it can't drain your battery. I had to tell him to pull over and cut off my car while it's on the flatbed. He pulled over and turned off the car. We now arrived to the mechanic shop. The owner asked Tanner to move the vehicle to the back where the bay doors are since the car isn't moving/driving. Tanner said okay, then proceeded to get upset and say "I hate when they want to park the vehicles in spot, the should move the car or push it into the back", I said "Why when you could just drive back more since your already in the driveway?", Tanner then asked me to go in the shop and I decided to stand in the rain and watch him unload my vehicle. He put the car into reverse and then moved the flatbed off the front tires. I did record this. I do hope all this unnecessary turning the car on in accessory mode and switching the gears didn't damage the vehicle more. I called to speak to the dispatcher/owner so they would know what happened, and the dispatcher hanged up, maybe by mistake, not sure but when I called back someone answered and then left me on hold. I guess they can read this review and do better.

He ignored my request, falsely claiming he had to start the engine to tow it -which is simply not true. When I called the shop to voice my concern, the person who answered was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing, he doubled down and insisted that "starting it for a few minutes won't hurt it," despite not knowing the full condition of my engine. Completely unacceptable experience
