Have treated my daughter and myself for multiple injuries. Office staff and communication amongst the worst I have ever seen. No pride or care shown at the office can't get anyway to properly fax a darn thing and Christine Gonzales PA showed no desire to educate or guide my daughter or explain the injuries or MRI. When questions asked very cold and short. Owners of the practice need to work on her bedside manner. If I ran this office I would reset values expectations and listen to the patient who pays the bills. Do yourself a favor find a practice that shows pride and care and thoroughness with there patients.

Background setup: Bruised my coccyx (butt bone), 2 months…read morelater injured myself twisting with weights + have had a persistent hip flexor low back pain combo. The result was an almost debilitating pain in my low back and sciatic nerve that demanded I take it easy and rest. Unfortunately, that's not really an option or preference for my lifestyle so I sought out professional help. Dr. Binder was the first chiropractor I had ever visited and, quite honestly, I was kinda stressed out about the whole crack it and pop it thing. I knew just a massage wasn't going to fix my injury that was a compilation of many other small injuries. Despite the vast size, the space feels immediately inviting when you walk through the doors. Dr. Binder was there to greet me right away and I was impressed with our one-on-one consultation & the comprehensive tests she used to assess what was actually going on with my back. She took the time to answer my questions while interpreting the results of my tests, calmed some fears and explained to me how the body responds to stresses, injuries & how receiving chiropractor care can help with so many ailments across the board. We moved over to the table and she told me exactly what she was going to do, what sensation I might feel & asked how I responded to each adjustment. She was thorough, strong & effective with her hands-on adjusts, yet gentle enough being it was my first time in her care. More than anything though, I could tell she was really trying to help me. She followed my adjustments up with a massage to the area, answered more of my questions for care until our next visit and I was on my way. We scheduled another appointment in a few days and within a week I felt back to normal. So it turns out taking it easy and resting is a requirement when dealing with injuries. There is no doubt in my mind though, that Dr. Binder helped accelerate my healing process, and for that, I am so grateful.

There are three words nobody wants to hear, "You have cancer." I heard these words in June 2004…read more Dr. Scott Meyer was the neurosurgeon who performed the biopsy that diagnosed me. If I will remember only one thing about this man, it will be his favorite line, "I don't know." This man had no answers for us. What should we do doctor? "I don't know." If your son was diagnosed with this, what would be your next step? "I don't know." "I don't know" and "this is a difficult choice" were his two favorite expressions. My wife asked for information to read. He handed her a scientific journal reviewing the current medical and statistical data. She worked her way through this journal and asked him questions days later. I'm pretty sure he was stunned that we were able to comprehend the information enough to ask additional questions. We're pretty sure he handed us this paper to shut us up! Finally, a kind doctor (who will remain nameless) walked into the room and said. "San Diego does not have a neuro-oncology program, you need to leave here and go someplace else." These were his exact words, he/she did not hesitate. Scott Meyer also has no bedside manner. We never saw him again after his "job" of cutting my head open was done. I had an appt to drive to Encinitas for a follow up. Time haven past, with a clearer mind to begin addressing the next step, we came with loads of information and questions. Was he there for the appt? Of course not. An assistant, maybe a nurse, help us. She hadn't reviewed our case, we were just there to see how the scar was healing and that was it. I had a ton of questions of a "what do we do now?" theme. She said he would be contacting you for another appt. This never came. We never saw him again. Years later, a friend told me that Scott Meyer had been telling some people that I wouldn't live much longer! Contrast that with my experience of leaving San Diego and heading elsewhere. Day 1, a team was brought together and a plan was initiated. Director of Neuro-oncology, Co-Director of Neuro-surgery was the team I got. They were all there for anything I needed and still are. Where was this, you may ask? It's just a little place called UCLA. And me? Better than ever! Three year cancer survivor despite anything Mr (he really doesn't deserve the Dr. title) Scott Meyer has to say!

Dr Scott Meyers also works here in the St Petersburg, FL area, out of Bayfront Medical Hospital…read more... He is Rude, Condescending and just down right mean. He has no bed side manner. I went to him after a head trauma Feb 2011 as a follow up and he was yelling at the nurse in the doctors office he uses while in town and saying why did you book this patient, why is she here. i could hear everything he was saying, the walls arent that thick. When he came into "examine" me , he said i dont understand why you are here, you need to go to your general practioner.. i said you were the doctor that treated me in the hospital and read the CAT Scans... needless to say he never looked at my head which i had 3 staples in... i would advise going to another doc and avoid this one at all costs.
