I have been dealing with the ulcer and attending wound care since 2009. I was told I do have vein insufficiency in both legs but only 1 of the 6 veins in total meet the Medicare criteria. The other veins will cost $5,500.00 in out of pocket expenses. I found another vein doctor who came highly rated and he will accept Medicare for all my veins and referred me to a surgeon who will also accept Medicare who I pray will finally close the venous ulcer on my ankle for good! Very nice staff but never met Dr. Gilvydis at my initial appointment.

Bea did such a wonderful job of making me feel more at ease, as I was fairly nervous. She explained the numbing process and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay throughout, which gave me a sense of comfort. She did not rush the procedure at all. I am prone to anxiety, and Bea's kindness and professionalism helped me get through it. Also, the laser portion of the treatment was truly painless! Upon completion of the procedure, I was sent home with a packet of after-care instructions, ice packs, and all the supplies needed to bandage up & care for the areas that were lasered while they heal. I am confident that I have finally found the right place to remove my tattoos once and for all, which is such a relief. There are several tattoo removal clinics out there, but based on my prior experiences and comparison to my great appointment at Vein and Laser, I'm not certain of their effectiveness or legitimacy. I highly recommend this office, as your care will come from a medical doctor and RN. Yes, it is a bit of an expense (yet not outrageous!) but worth it for the high-quality laser equipment and the extra care received!

Dr. Makris and the staff was super nice and caring - they checked in on me the next day and gave good insturction for the post procedure care. I was treated on a Monday and I went for a RUN on Thursday and I didn't need to miss any work. The bruising and pain were surprisingly minimal and my leg feels and looks great now.
