He performed varicose vein surgery on my left leg in 2003 with no complications. Years later--circa 2008--many superficial veins started appearing in the same leg and he removed ALL of them without charging a fortune, because I was a former patient.I was very, very grateful. This man is caring, not money-hungry. But it gets better: in 2013, while a full time caregiver for my 94 year old father (who always had a history of varicose veins) I noticed a pronounced swelling in dad's right calf as well as what looked to be excessively dry, peeling skin all around the area. Alarmed, I got dad to Dr. Robin's the next day. We were in to see him the moment we came into his office (really! still taking our coats off) and yep, I was right! Dad had a blood clot and we got him right to the ER. DR. ROBIN SAVED HIS LIFE! He is kind, very personable and explains all of his work as well as your condition in as much detail as you require. Extremely patient! Likewise, his staff are great: friendly, professional, helpful. Although like most doctors you need to make an appointment, I feel that if you have what you think may be a blood clot or anything vein-related, you could probably call his office and I have no doubt that they would see you ASAP. Chan, after performing an extensive on-line search for a Doctor that I could see for what appeared to be an uncomfortable bump on my stomach and also in my navel area, as it was protruding outwards. I had two different visible lumps on my stomach area that caused discomfort and obviously looked unpleasant. After having scheduled an appointment, I was happy to quickly get a quick appointment to be seen by Dr. Chan. Since I had already had taken some Cat Scans, Dr. Chan was able to review the images and was able to confirm that indeed I had a double hernia. He was so kind and caring that he managed to schedule me within the next week to perform a surgical repair for my condition. Before my surgery took place, I explained to Dr. Chan my main concerns in understanding the specifics and the manner to perform my surgery to repair in such a manner to avoid noticeable scarring due to the surgery.
