For almost 8 months of 2020, I was experiencing extreme nausea daily. I lost weight because I couldn't eat much without feeling like I was going to throw it up moments later. I literally felt sick all day and prescription meds caused too many negative side effects. I had about 10 sessions with Kevin so far and he cured my nausea - I got my appetite back. If I feel my nausea coming back, I know to immediately check in with Kevin. The 2nd issue I had was with terrible pain specifically in the back of my head that radiated towards to the top of my head and caused a hot, tingling sensation in the top left quadrant of my head. The doctors suspected occipital neuralgia, or likely a pinched nerve around my neck. Imaging suggested as much. My body took a while to adapt to the changes provided with Kevin's touch, and it is still a work in progress, but I am so much better than when I first started seeing him. I wasn't able to lay flat on the backside of my head because it felt so uneven and the pain was too much, but he allowed me to sleep and lay comfortably on my head in all positions after these sessions. I am able to go about my day to day activities with almost no pain anymore. A sacro-iliac joint issue that I had been thinking was permanent within a couple treatments didn't bother me-well maybe a little here and there, but like 15 times less than before. I have seen Kevin several times. Previously for back pain and this last time my forearms were killing. Between working out and picking up my daughter constantly, I was feeling weakness and pain - beyond my understanding. Pain meds or anti inflammatory creams were not doing anything. His technique may be a bit unconventional- he practically doesn't even touch you - just slightly on the specific points needed to reset your body and brain. I have been going to Kevin since a serious accident on the trampoline ( no, I didn't fall of the trampoline). I had knocked tendons out of place and the first thing he did was put them back in. His set of Bowen moves and all of the other things he can do are just amazing. When I first went to him he got me up and moving and in less pain immediately. I could not walk, sit, drive or do much except be horizontal on the floor before seeing him. After seeing him I went home on the bus. YOu know this stuff keeps on working up to 10 days after he does the work. Within 4 weeks I was pretty much back to normal and working. After that I got some tune ups every once and a while and I am a very happy customer. Since then and that was 14 years ago he has helped me with many things from TMJ and a swollen knee. No amount of traditional physical therapy was helping me with my knee and he fixed it in ONE GO and gave me soda crystals for the swelling. by the next day it was fine. Kevin has the magic touch (or it seems like it...) I first went to him when my back was painfully all knotted up and I could barely get out of bed. My wife found Kevin in the phone book and we randomly made an appointment because it was the weekend and he would see me that day. Boy, am I glad I did. I saw a sports medicine orthopedist for a year trying to cure golf elbow without success. Kevin gave me an exercise that took care of the problem in short order. I got rear-ended in a car collision. I stumbled at Kevin by accident. I was looking for a orthopedist and thinking he was it I called. He told me he he is not orthopedist but could still help me with my then foot pain which I thought was due to improper insoles. I didn't even hope he can help my back problem but after short talk I wanted to give it a try after reading on the Bowen method. Have been already with Kevin for several sessions and the results are amazing. He helped me my foot in one session! My back, which was diagnosed with hyper mobility syndrome following an injury with a problem at the 3rd rib ligament is almost entirely gone and my spine feels so much more aligned and stronger and at the moment is probably at its best even before the injury. He also helped me with some lymph drainage issues and the small routine practices he gives, when concentrated on, can go a long way. I highly recommend his therapy. Kevin is talented and accomodating!! I was able to get in within a couple of days and it was easy to fit into my schedule which is often chaotic. I have been recovering from a shoulder injury for almost a year now. I'm not exactly helping it, every time I think it's better I push myself a little too far and end up exactly where I started. This las t time it had gotten to the point where I couldn't even lift my arm. This, as you can imagine was a bit problematic for quite a number of daily functions. One visit to to kevin and I am feeling much better!! I am amazed that in just one hour I have full and easy movement within my arm, my lower back is looser as well as my neck! I can't believe that it's been over five years since I wrote my initial review of Kevin's work, so it's time for an update. The previous review mentioned the return to a variety of activities that I thought were no longer available to me. The most important one to me was my return to aikido, and I am now happy to say that, at the age of 57, I've made it to black belt, with no intention of slowing down my participation and growth in the art. Aikido involves scores, and perhaps hundreds, of falls to the mat during the course of long class. I've been taking those falls for years now, thoroughly enjoying each and every one of them. I occasionally bruise a knee or jam a finger during class, but the difference between the locked-up, hunched-over, back-brace-wearing, spasm-fearing, screaming-in-pain guy who was literally carried into Kevin's office and the happy high-fall-taking person I am now is absolutely profound. His ability to understand what was wrong with my body and what was right, and his skill in getting me back into alignment was a genuine turning point in my life. No one else was able to do that, despite their best efforts. I haven't had to schedule an appointment for some time, but I have recommended Kevin to everyone I know who complains of back/shoulder/hip/knee/neck, etc. pain (which is about everyone I know). I have never given anyone a bad review in my life. Stay away from Kevin Minney! He's a terrible, neglectful person. On his recommendation, I signed up for a series of 10 appointments, used up 4 of them; once he did not show up for (with no warning), and texted an offhand after-the-fact excuse he had simply forgotten. He is in really bad shape physically, and while I feel sympathetic to the fact is in constant pain, Kevin should simply not be in practice. For the last 3 appointments I distinctly felt worse leaving than coming in and did not improve in the days following, as he professed I would. Kevin is neglectful and does not care that he has caused me great harm financially: he is utterly unprofessional in his paperwork and client care and any commitment he makes is meaningless. Despite weeks of constant promises that he would hand over or email a simple but essential receipt I truly still need for my insurance company showing his name, the dates of service, and an explanation of services, he has come up with constant excuses and delays, the kind I would expect from a school kid, and now simply does not even bother to respond to emails or texts. This after I trustingly paid hundreds of dollars in advance for services. I am obviously not holding my breath for him to make an offer to return the portion not used. Avoid this fraudulent practice. read more

For many years now, Kevin is the person I go to when my body needs to heal and needs help to get started. My latest visit was prompted by a shoulder injury that lingered for a couple of weeks. As always, Kevin employs the minimum amount of tweakage for the maximum effect. I'm still always surprised that in Kevin's practice, he doesn't "do" much, but he sets the stage for my body to realign and begin to heal. My shoulder felt a bit better directly after the 2 sessions we just completed, and now, a few days later, I can feel the healing in earnest--my range of motion and strength are almost back to normal. So sometimes it takes awhile. The unexpectedly good news is that Kevin was also able to (instantly) relieve cramps and spasms I was having in my left hand, adjust my left knee so the slight twinge I was feeling has now gone away, and was able to release a huge amount of tension in a large scar I have due to a kidney operation when I was 7 years old. 56 years of low-level anxiety melted away in just a few minutes of gentle treatment. So, as has happened before, I visit Kevin for an acute injury, and end up with a bunch of other long-term issues addressed as well. read more

Kevin Minney is amazing! I had hurt my ankle while walking and within one session he had made my life substantially easier. He is extremely friendly, helpful and patient. His professional, yet calm demeanor also makes it easier to relax and actually enjoy the sessions. Kevin has worked not only on my ankle, but also my left rotator cuff. Kevin is an amazing healer. I walked in with a really sore calf due to a small tear or a big strain. 1 hour later I had virtually no pain. Two days before I could barely walk at a 16 min pace - that day I walked at a 13:30 pace and the day after even faster - now I have NO pain. Kevin has an incredible sense of how you should be standing if your body is really balanced. He works on feet, hips, knees, back, head .... until your body is aligned the way it is supposed to be. Once it is (for me) I find I walk faster, feel much better, ... Oh yeah - the walking running is with NO pain and very little residual stiffness afterwards. For the longer term work Kevin has done - I have no cartilage in my left knee and my L5 vertebrae is resting on the S1 - back pain suffers will know exactly what this means. Kevin has worked with me for about 8 months. I have gone from walking quite quickly for half marathons to walking/running a marathon and just before the calf injury ran a solo half marathon in 2:24. It is Kevin's work that has got my body much better balanced - and keeps repairing my bad habits. I went to Kevin a few months ago when my back and neck seemed to be out of whack. I had limited mobility and pain. I don't completely understand what he did but a few gentle movements later he had me turning my neck comfortably and pain free. He's awesome. I hate to be negative but I had a horrible experience and honestly feel like I wasted $80. During the consultation he seemed very annoyed, I was debating on leaving then but stayed hoping it would get better. It didn't. After the consultation I layed on the massage table and he preformed "bowen" for 2 minutes, then had me lay on the table for 20 mins. Meanwhile I can hear him clicking and typing away on his computer. Then the same thing twice - 2 min massage, lay on the massage table for 20 mins while he works on his computer. The actual hands on therapy was no more then 10 minutes total, and all he did was just touch my tender spots,there was nothing therapeutic about it. I can't believe people gave him such positive reviews, hopefully he actually worked on them. What a scam. read more

Kevin is a skillful, analytical, compassionate and artful practitioner. I'm a seasoned yoga teacher an he helped me with a chronic hip problem. He balanced my skull to relieve jaw tension and TMJ and more. He fixed my daughter's foot/heel pain in 10 minutes. Helped my son with a head injury. He's very skilled, continues to learn after 3 decades of practicing, he has a huge "toolbox". Very affordable, and accessible. This November I fractured my shoulder in a fall -- not a good thing at age 68 (or any other time of life). The shoulder was also subluxed, and with a broken bone (glenoid fracture), it was too soon to take it to my chiropractor to have the joint re-located. I've been developing Repetitive Stress Injury in my hands and wrists from my photography work over the past few years. A friend of mine who is also a photographer and struggled with a similar RSI, recommended I see Kevin. I had never heard of Bowen therapy, but after reading about it I liked that it didn't require any invasive techniques or medication. So with only a little hesitation, I scheduled an appointment. Kevin really took the time to first talk with me about my RSI, and after the appointment gave me exercises/stretches to do at home. I continued to see Kevin for the course of a few months, and began to see improvement that still carries to this day. I've had repetitive stress in my hands for years and like the other reviewers have tried everything to relieve the pain. Things would get a little better, then the pain would start to increase again. The first time I left Kevin Minney's small but effective healing space, I told my wife "Well, he's either a total quack or he is the greatest healer of our time". Within 24 hours, I knew that the latter was the case. I don't exactly understand the full capacity of what exactly it is that Kevin Minney does but when I read the reviews for him, I knew that I would have to try him out. Since that first time, I have been back probably 5 or 6 times to have him work on me and every time, I have this gentle, non-invasive appointment that is akin to a nap. I leave a bit groggy from the nap but within 24 hours my symptoms start to clear up and I miraculously feel better. He barely touches me, he checks out a few things that no typical Dr. of western medicine would even consider looking at and magically I feel healed. I don't understand exactly what he does but it is definitely scientific and it definitely makes sense to me when he explains it. I had all kinds of body problems when I first went to see Kevin. It hurt to walk. My upper back & lower back hurt and my voice was very stressed and too soft from compressed discs in my neck, my hands were weak, could even hardly touch the piano and I'm a piano teacher. I was also having difficulties sleeping at night. I had been seeing chiropractors but after getting a cracked sternum from a back adjustment, I thought I would try a new modality. Kevin came highly recommended. Getting use to Bowenwork was my main obstacle. However Kevin spent a third of the time with me on osteopathic treatments before doing Bowenwork. These treatments I could understand and they worked wonders! After seeing him several times, I finally read up on Bowenwork and then I could understand the treatments and my reactions to them. I had to go home right away and sleep. That allowed the treatment to take hold and heal my body. I could tell a difference in a couple days. I just didn't have the same complaints that I had before my session with him. I found Kevin to be very knowledgeable, patient and optimistic about everything.
