I really wanted to get microblading done and couldn't find any in my state. I yelped and found the closes microblading which was NC. Which is about an hour and 20 mins away from where I reside. I even wanted to go to Atl but driving 3 hours and 25 mins to ATL wouldn't be convenient if I needed to get a touch up! So I found Holly and she was highly recommended on yelp and Facebook and Instagram. The area where she is located is a very cute area it has housing and apartments with shops underneath. Super cute community. Her shop is adorable very clean, chic and modern. My session was about an hour and a half long. She was very persistent with her work. I loved my brows soooo much. She drew the perfect shape and the color she chose for me it looked very natural once it healed. Got to get a touch up and can't wait to see her work again. If I couldn't give them a 6 Star I would. Her shop is very very clean which is very important! Also she sends you home with instructions on how to take care of your brows and gives you ointment too put on your brows so they can heal faster. Like many women these days, I draw on my eyebrows (big surprise). I think anyone who knows me, knows how particular I am with the brows. Eyebrows define your whole face! They can give you the sharp polished look you want, or done the wrong way, they can do the complete opposite. I think I've been drawing/coloring mine in for probably six years. I heard about microblading and read a lot about it. When I first did research, I could only find places in New York or other big cities with tons of experience and it seemed to be newer to Charlotte only more recently. This year I got serious about it and found several places in town that did it. All of the reviews were just ok. I wasn't impressed with anything I saw. Then I found Holly. All of her reviews were outstanding and the pictures she posted here and on Facebook were really amazing. I was so excited to finally find someone who I could feel confident about going to. I set up my appointment fairly quickly and waited anxiously for it to arrive. When I got there that day, I'll have to admit I was dying with nervousness. I had no clue what to expect. Holly answered all of my questions and was extremely thorough for the entire visit. She drew on the lines and basically filled them in. Really a very simple process. The first visit was a little uncomfortable at first, but later she added numbing cream which helped. I was so shocked and thrilled with the results, I couldn't contain my happiness. No pain at all after leaving. Over the next few weeks I had some peeling, but that's all. I went for my free one month touch up and I'm not gonna lie....that hurt! Holly was understanding and explained to me that because the skin was still healing it may be a little tender. She wasn't kidding! I am beyond 5 stars happy with my entire experience. What can I say about Holly and her shop that hasn't already been said? To begin, scheduling is a breeze. The set-up and confirmation of my appointments were all done over email and text. The office is very pretty and calming. Though I was anxious at the beginning, Holly did a great job of putting me at ease. She's a total pro and an absolute artist. I felt confident that she was going to give me a professional, natural result. When she first drew my new brow shape, I asked if she could very slightly soften my arch, and with the tiniest adjustment, she gave me the perfect shape I was looking for. The procedure itself was great. The blading was uncomfortable but not intolerable by any stretch. I was thankful for the numbing cream but you're still definitely aware of the work being done. Once complete, I was given clear, easy-to-follow instructions on how to take care of my brows at home. My first touch up came several weeks later, and a warning: The first touch up can hurt much more than the initial blading. Your skin is still sensitive and healing. This is not to scare anyone off, but I was surprised at the difference. I'm around a year and a half out since I had my brows bladed and I can confidently say that it's one of the best investments I've made. I don't recommend going to this salon. Had my eyebrows done 9 months ago and scheduled my retouch only to find out she won't honor the price she originally provided me with. It's $50 more now and where it may not seem like a lot, for someone who drove 2.5 hours for good affordable work with a decently priced touch up plan, that $50 is a lot! Probably the worst investment I've ever made. I wasn't happy with my eyebrows and it really felt like they were pushing me to accept them. I paid over $550. Every time I look in the mirror, I regret the choice of coming here. My eyebrows are uneven and I was told to "have realistic expectations" and to "wipe the foundation off after applying makeup". I was offered to do a touch up, but I would have needed a follow up to the touch up since they added more strokes to the beginning of my eyebrows - this is when they started pushback even more to not do another appointment. I cancelled my third appointment because I don't want them to touch my eyebrows ever again. The foundation has nothing to do with some of the microblading looking more full on one eyebrow than the other. I did TONS of research on places to have microblading before finally settling on Kess'. After all the great reviews I was SO excited to have found a great place, but can say the experience was anything but. I arrived for my appointment & while filling out the paperwork, the girl at the front desk told me she needed to put the numbing cream on. For reference, I had done my brows like I did on a daily basis, just how i liked them & wanted them to be microbladed, however, holly never came out of the back prior to the girl wiping them off. Probably 15 minutes went by & I was called back to Holly's chair. She seemed nice but uninterested. She asked if there was anything specific I was looking for in my brows, I told her what I would like & in probably 30 seconds she had drawn an outline on my face that was nothing like I described & just felt like she put no real effort into them. I told her that wasn't what I was looking for & she was immediately annoyed. I wouldn't say it was arguing, but she was telling me that what I wanted wasn't right & I should do the shape she designed. I was totally open to her suggestions when i arrived, but it wasn't what I wanted or had asked for - & for such a high price, I should be happy with the service.. Continuing with the appointment she seemed to be more annoyed by the second & told me to draw the shape on myself. She also seemed irritated that I didn't have photos to show her of brow examples. I told her I had drawn them on perfectly like I wanted them when I came in & her coworker had wiped them off without her ever seeing them. After what felt like forever, we finally settled on a shape that she still seemed dissatisfied with. I laid back on the chair & after all that time the numbing cream had definitely worn off & it was extremely painful. Reapplication of the cream was sparse & the whole procedure was pretty awful. When she was finally done quite some time later, I did like the look & color of my brows. To add to this already unpleasant experience, when I went up front to pay, the price I was told on the phone a week earlier was not what they charged me. I tried to speak with both the girl at the register & holly who were both fumbling over their words unable to give me a legitimate answer, ultimately telling me 'oh well' & I ended up having to pay $50 more than I was quoted. Fast forward to the touch up appointment which I went to only because I had paid so much & wanted to get my moneys worth out of the experience & also because the color had faded rapidly into a color that nowhere near matched my hair. So a different girl did the touchup & she was friendly but it seemed like the appointment went on forever. At the end the color matched, however after a few weeks it faded yet again. (The color is of course expected to fade but should be applied in a way that it will match when healed.) So now after both appointments & healing time, I still have to fill my brows in everyday so they actually match. The only difference is my wallet is $450 lighter. After all the great reviews here I truly don't understand the experience I had. Very disappointed. read more

I got my eyebrows done in March and I could never go back to not having them!! J used to spend hours perfecting them and now I can do them in about 10 minutes with just some eyebrow gel because I like a feathered look! Holly is amazing. I never had very full eyebrows and used to fill them in daily since highschool. Once I found her and came in for a consultation where we discussed the procedure and she answered all my question, I was set on coming back. She is very diligent in the way that she measures and prepares everything. Even though the procedure is uncomfortable at first, she did everything possible to make me most comfortable (numbing lotion, a comfortable pillow, my favorite music). As soon as I left I started looking forward to the next touch up session. My eyebrows did fade a bit after the first session but Holly also explained that this was normal and would be better after the touch up. I scrutinized her "before and after" photos and was impressed with her attention to detail as compared to the others I viewed online. Holly did such a beautiful job that I immediately booked an appointment to have permanent lip-liner touch up with her. She spent time "fixing" some uneven lip areas that another technician had done several years ago; the end result was perfection! My 30 year old daughter decided to let Holly do micro-blading on her brows after she saw mine; they look amazing too! my first appointment with holly in 2017 was great. my brows were beautiful and i was very happy. after 11 months i went in for a retouch and my brows turned out pretty good but faded quickly. i returned about 6 months later because my brows were very faded and really needed to be touched up. this time they looked terrible, after 5 weeks they were faded and spotty. i returned to show holly what happened. holly blamed it all on me, saying my skin had "changed". i am 54 years old and my skin has not 'changed". holly was rude and angry and told me she did not want me to comeback. i was surprise at how unprofessional she was. instead of working with me to figure out what happened, she decided she didn't want to bothered. i don't know what happened to her since my first appointment. maybe she is overbooked or just too full of herself. whatever happened has certainly taken a toll on her work and her attitude. if you decide to have your brows done by holly, just don't complain about anything because you will be blamed for whatever went wrong and left with no option other finding someone to fix your sad brows. oh, one more thing. when i was paying for my last appoint, i was told that the retouch price had gone up $50 although they had not yet updated their prices on their website....insult to injury. read more
