A&M gear is common here since this is smack dab in the middle of Aggie land so I'll sometimes grab an Aggie piece of clothing or artifact for my Houston friends who are A&M alumni. An observation of mine is how clean and organized this Costco is. Not to mention the customer service is one of the better ones as it's mainly college students and Aggie graduates who are employed here. And it's not packed to the gills with people so I can shop with space and peace. Although that's probably due to coming here on late afternoon weekdays. In comparison to the ones in Houston, this one is run much better with more civilized patrons. Way to go College Station Costco!

The owner/pharmacist seems like a sweetheart who is clearly loved by and a friend to a lot of people, but....I sort of wish there was a line for people who want to chat, and people who just want to buy their kombucha and bottle of supplements and leave, haha. Anyway, they've only been open in this new location for a month or two, so I'm sure they'll work this out, but otherwise it's a great store and one to check out, especially if you're looking for a myriad of gluten-free options! *UPDATE* They fixed the checkout line issue, and they're still friendly and stocking good products, so I'll give them that fifth star :).

In fact, you can't bring a friend and have them use your card at checkout. If your friend wants to buy something, you are paying for it. It offers early hours for Executive Members so if you don't have that membership level, you won't be able to enter. Executive members pay for that perk. Check the Costco website for hours, not Google. Sometimes it is very crowded and the staff works hard to expedite people through the lines. Trying to find something can be a bear and requires extra effort on your part. Yes, that's part of the experience. I've ordered a pizza and they handed it to me and I have ordered a pizza and it wasn't ready by the time I finished shopping. The pizza is a good deal; when you will get it, depends on the volume ordering. I try to go on "off hours". I am an Executive Member so that may be when they first open. In general, expect crowds. Everyone has a monster cart that they are trying to navigate around the store. Imagine someone used to driving a Spark is handed an Expedition and they are turning a corner. It can get crazy but that's part of the experience. A lot of the complaints are part of the Costco Experience. You are warehouse shopping and the staff tries to work fast to get the crowds through. Mistakes happen. It can be a nuisance to fix a mistake though hopefully, the mistakes are a small percentage.

Just like most places on Harwin it is a bit overwhelming upon entry and it is hard to decide what looks good and what looks cheap. Give the bag a good look and mostly if the fake leather is not super shiny then you are good to go. They also have a great selection of evening bags for special occasions. It is my go to when I have a wedding or cocktail party to attend.
