Best decision I made while in Cleveland! This popcorn is delicious! Dare I say, this might be the best caramel popcorn I've tasted. There are a variety of unique flavors and the staff is very kind and informative. I enjoyed the coconut curry caramel the most, but also tried the blueberry sage caramel, jalapeño, 216 Mix, and cilantro lime kettle. The blueberry sage caramel was also good. However, I love spicy food, so the coconut curry caramel got me! I also highly recommend the 216 Mix! It's cheddar, white cheddar, and the delicious caramel. My personal favorite is the M&M Milk Chocolate Caramel Corn-- chocolate and caramel-- you can't go wrong there. I've been to their storefront ~2 months ago and they offered samples if you asked. I wasn't a fan of their savory flavors, which was a bit disappointing. I thought the cheddar and sour cream & chive would be more yummy, but I definitely prefer their sweet flavors. Their caramel is amazing so basically anything with the caramel would be delicious. Price is also reasonable for what you get, ranging from $3, to $6 for the premium flavors. I loveee Kernels by Chrissie! What a lovely popcorn shop located in the true heart of Downtown Cleveland. The exterior is on Euclid Avenue but they are also technically part of the 5th Street Arcades, a shopping market of local businesses. So grab some popcorn and take a stroll! The prices are super reasonable when compared to some of the other sweets stops located in surrounding areas. They have dozens of flavors. The most memorable one I've tried thus far is the Birthday Cake Caramel Corn. They have a personal snack size which is perfect just to munch on by yourself or share with a friend. I don't typically love sweet popcorn, but I do here. They have plenty of savory options as well. They also offer delivery ordering through Yelp, which always rocks! The staff is super helpful, loves to talk about the popcorn and won't try to push you into buying anything. While exploring the city yesterday, my friend and I took a stroll down the Arcade and was drawn into Kernels by Chrissie with the smell of fresh popped popcorn. We were greeted by an employee and he was offering us taste tests of what we were contemplating of purchasing. I ended up buying the All In (216) mix which consisting of a little bit of their main popcorn (nearly naked, butter, kettle, caramel, cheddar, and buffalo). I love the taste of everything, a little bit of sweet, savory, and spice! My friend bought the fresh butter popcorn, which was delicious, and the Mochaccino caramel Corn (which had hints of coffee flavors). I can't wait to return and try all their other flavors! read more

Honestly, I didn't know about this business until Chrissie opened up shop in the 5th street arcade recently! She said she has been in business doing events, fundraisers, etc. for 5 years now and never imagined she would have her own store. After sampling many of her flavors, I can tell you she deserves it! The popcorn is delicious. I'm a Garrett's fanatic and I have to say, her "216 mix" that is mirrored after the Chicago mix (her's has cheddar, white cheddar, and caramel), is absolutely delicious. The caramel corn literally MELTS in your mouth. After one taste from people at work, I started getting requests for me to walk over and buy them a bag or two since her store is so convenient for me. I love the jalapeno cheddar, too - so flavorful!! I actually like mixing that one with the caramel- YUM! I also love the white cheddar and gingerbread caramel. The gingerbread caramel is very potent, but still great!! At 3-5 dollars for a small bag, I think the price is very reasonable for being gourmet popcorn! You can buy tins too - her prices range anywhere from 7-45+ dollars depending on the size of the tin. I'm sure these would have made great holiday gifts, but I didn't realize they had already opened until after the holidays! Chrissie, the owner, is so nice! She's the only staff member I have met so far, but I'm sure the rest are just the same! I love small shops and I'm glad this one is so close to my apartment. We were out and about in downtown Cleveland exploring and the smells drew us in to sample some flavors. While everything we tried was delicious, we couldn't resist a bag of the Cheers for Beers popcorn - the flavor is described as a mix of beer, pretzels, and cheddar, but honestly, it's just love. It's quite unique and addictive, and the bag almost didn't make it back to the hotel (that is, not in our bellies). I just checked their website and they actually do internet orders + shipping, so I have a feeling some Cheers for Beer is in my future! read more

A fabulous addition to the East 4th street area, not to mention, it's non-Gmo. The popcorn comes in a variety of traditional and non-traditional flavors that will make your mouth water to try them all. Chrissie, the owner, was very helpful in explaining the different flavors and layout of her space. This place is great for people of all ages, you can even watch the popcorn being made over the counter and through the glass window from the arcade. I tried the key lime pie and wasabi ginger popcorn, which were both an explosion of taste! The Verdict: SO GOOD, SO ADDICTING! The Food: POPPING FOR POPCORN! I've been there about 3 times. I actually love it so much I went back to buy 7 bags of popcorn to send as thank you gifts! My favorite is the Tuxedo Chocolate Caramel. Once I open it I can't stop eating it! And I HATE sharing it with my friends because they also can't stop eating too!!! I also like the Irish Cream and 216 Mix. The Extra: The store smells SO GOOD! You can also ask for free samples but be careful, you'll be hooked! They make it fresh and you can constantly see them making fresh batches. On a side note, they are HONEST people. On the trip when I bought the many bags of popcorn, I was so distracted by the yummy popcorn that I completely forgot to put my credit card back into my wallet! By the time I found out they were closed AND they were also closed the next day. I was so nervous but I called when they were opened again and they answered! And they were SO SWEET and yes they had my card! They took responsibility for it even though it was completely my fault. I rushed to pick it up and they had it completely sealed in a little paper with my name so I could tell they took their customers seriously. I was walking around Cleveland when I found this shop. Later that night I stopped by, after having gone on the website to scout out the flavors I knew exactly what I wanted. My favorite popcorn is garrets mix (or cheese and caramel corn mix) and they have one, and I also love a buttery popcorn, which who doesn't love a buttery popcorn? There was a short line and there is only one check out machine, but the wait wasn't too long. An impressive thing about this store is the prices, the small bag that they have is, in my opinion, very reasonably priced with the small bag being under five dollars. There is a larger bag that is more expensive, but within reason, in accordance with the number of people it could feed. The two workers there were nice and worked fast to get me my other order of popcorn. The shop seems to be a popular little spot, with fun and different flavors that are either traditional or out of the box. I was disappointed by the cheese and caramel mix, the cheese flavor isn't incredibly abundant and neither is the caramel flavor. I have had better, but it wasn't the worse popcorn I have ever had. The butter popcorn was very good and certainly lives up to its name. I enjoyed the buttery popcorn more than the cheese and caramel mix, but I will still eat the latter. Overall I was impressed by the variety of flavors that this establishment has and the success that it has since a popcorn business is a hard one to sustain. read more

What an absolute joke of a company!!! They were the kettle corn vendor this year for the City of Independence Tree Lighting, and they were the FIRST vendor to EVER charge money for kettle corn in the multiple decade history of the event. There were tons of confused kids and upset parents as a result of this, and they had a massive pile of unsold popcorn because nobody brought money. Normally there is not a single kernel of popcorn left at the kettle corn booth, as everyone eats it since's it's free. The old man behind the counter was an absolute jackass to my disabled sister who tried to get kettle corn, and barked at her about how it cost a dollar (even though there was no signage anywhere stating that it cost money, and it never has in the past). She was extremely upset all evening, and it totally ruined one of hwr absolute favorite events of the holiday season. The only reason I didn't tell the guy what a greedy, selfish P.O.S. he is was because I didn't want to make a scene in front of any of the children there. I truly hope that this company goes out of business, as they are greedy, selfish, disgusting people who ruined a special holiday event for so many children and families. read more

I'm not normally into popcorn but we stumbled upon this place while wandering around 5th Street Arcade. It's great that you can look through the glass windows and see them actually making the popcorn, but really it was the delicious smell that drew us in. The staff was friendly and offered up a lot of different flavors for us to try. The prices are reasonable too at $4 for a bag of gourmet popcorn and I ended up with a bag of raspberries & cream and a bag of the coconut curry. Loving the unique flavors and a handful is definitely enough to satisfy your craving without giving you a stomach ache. My only complaint is that it was hot in there, like I was sweating, but I guess they can't help it since they cook everything right there. read more

Big fan of the local flavored popcorn scene! Recently visited crocker park and discovered this little gem! Tucked in an alley between the yard house and the Hyatt, it is well worth the effort to find it! The samples make it harder to choose. We ended up with the traditional kettle corn and the raspberry Carmel corn! Simply phenomenal flavor! The man and women behind the counter were great and patient with the kids and the samples.
