They will have you sitting in the waiting room to see a Referrals representative who isn't even there. You won't see the doctor, you'll see the nurse practitioner who will talk over you and won't really listen to any of your responses to her questions. Good luck trying to contact this health center over the phone. You will be on hold for 30 minutes; when somebody answers you will be transferred around and eventually sent to voicemail. Nobody will return your call after you leave a voicemail. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Good service really is hard to find huh? Go to this place if you have 3.5 hours to burn and don't really want to accomplish anything.

Reminds me of going to our family dr in the 60's & 70's.... Dr. Harry Abe in Wantagh. In fact.... I haven't found a dr that I liked as much... until I found DR Levitz. The office is located in the Chase Bank bldg on the north side of Merrick Rd. Suite 300. The office is definitely NOT fancy at all. Far from it. But.... She is amazing. Soo caring & very thorough . She'll call you after hrs & always seems to be available. She's not a prescription writer so if you're the type looking for pain pills...she's not the Dr for you. She's very "by the book" & always looking out for your entire well being... Physically, mentally etc. She also offers a vitamin IV treatment. I've done it a few times & I did feel healthier afterwards. I've turned a few friends onto Dr Levitz & they go several times a week for the IV treatments. All in all.... I think she's pretty fantastic!!

Thus, I am personally pleased that there still exist physicians who are compassionate and interact with a patient's best interests at heart. One such physician is Dr. Rupal Shah. Dr. Shah took care of my mother until her death at the age of 99 years. Dr. Shah made home visits, was open and frank in her discussions with family, discussed expectations, special treatments and comfort measures. She went out of her way to keep me, an out of town family member, in the loop. Dr. Shah was calm and warm. She was medically up to date but kept her treatment plan simple. When my mother first entered Dr. Shah's care, she reviewed and simplified Mom's medications. She was always available, and when appropriate, suggested hospitalization. Dr. Shah's outstanding home patient management resulted in only 2 hospitalizations over the years. This woman is the kind of physician I would want to care for me and my family if I were in New York.
