I have a huge facility where people drink a lot of sodas, water and energy drinks. That means…read morethere's a HUGE amount of recycling. I decided that I would take in these cans and bottles and use that money for things like snacks and candy for my team. There are close to 1100 of them! This recycling place is nice in the s new that you can drive right in. I had over 40 bags! They processed them quickly and I got paid. I walked out with some cash that helped pay for a BBQ for about 900 people. Some tips. Make sure all of the bottles and cans are empty. It helps make the process quicker. Also, don't mix the cans and bottles. There are two separate processes for each. I wish I knew what really happens to all of this stuff, but at least I feel better that we did the right thing and got rewarded for it.

Improve with better customer service. Usually they seem cool but today was not okay. So I went by…read morethere, and I watched the man put my cans on the belt he said 6.7 to the guy. Which I confirmed with my own eyes on the scale. I go sign the paper and then I'll turn around and I looked at the price per pound and it says $1.66 per pound for aluminum cans . I only got seven dollars and some change back so I go back to the counter and I say hey, you didn't pay me $1.66 per 6.7 pounds. He said no he said 4.7. He yells over to the guy and said you said 4.7 he said yeah I said 4.7. Unless that's minus the weight of the trash can 2 lbs. I know what I saw and what he said. But no one said the trash can is 2 lbs so it's minus that. So on this note I no longer trust this area. I recycle just because but I don't want to lose any money either. But he lied and I had signed and walked off and turned to check the price for the cans. Then I realized what I got didn't match with my pounds I just read on the scale. It's all good but what got me even more mad than that is that he slide my receipt to me off the counter and it floated into a filthy trash can and didn't even say sorry nor did he pick it up. All of the trash cans are filthy here. I'm over it but just had to share it.
