They were open on a Saturday morning. They were the ONLY recycler who was available. Not sure why nobody else was willing to take my cans and bottles. At any rate, efficient, pleasant people, and the folks who were waiting with me were very pleasant. I had to move their bins about 25 yards because of how busy they were. The kid with the glasses has a complex apparently and doesn't understand how customer service works. He obviously just wants to look cool in front of his friends who work there too. When I went, they refused to accept recyclable bottles that were plastic. I returned later and watched the people that were working, remove the bottles from the trash and put them into the recyclable materials. Therefore they not only lied, but stole from me and countless others. read more

My in-laws usually take all the CRV stuff down to L.A. I asked them why they just did not take them somewhere in Bakersfield since they live here. So anyways, I took the containers they had saved to SOS Recycle center. Separated the glass, plastic, and aluminum into their respective assigned barrels. Then dragged the barrels to the line. Luckily, I got there before the crowd showed up. Otherwise, I would of been waiting awhile because several vehicles arrived after I got to the front of the line. Gentleman told me that it can get very busy especially on Saturdays. Anyways, we did our part to help the environment. We got money for the CRV. I don't know if they give the best rates for the CRV returns, but I trust that it was fair. The gentleman who helped me was cool. I think that I'll be taking our recycling business here from now on. read more

The man working was extremely rude. As he was taking my bottles and cans, another vehicle showed up behind me and he complained and said "are you f*cking kidding me?" This is your job dude. Also, he didn't weigh any of my glass and wouldn't take any of my milk jugs. I feel like I should've gotten more than $20 for 10+ bags of recyclables. This place is a joke and I'll never be back. This is an outdoor area - they pressed customers extremely hard about being 6' apart and didn't allow customers to touch their containers without a mask on. I took 10 / 39 Gallons Trash Bags, Fill to the top. 2 were fill with cans, at least 20 pounds each. And the other 8 we're filled with plastic, At least 10/ 15 pounds Ea. And all l got was $109. Dollars, $10..50 Ea. Bag. They don't let you see the weight for ea bucket. So you have to take them for their word. I got totally rip off!. I had decided not to go there any more. Before this incident, l would take at least 6/ 13 Gallons Trash Bags of plastic and 1/ full Bag of cans get $27 to $34 Dollars. That adds up to 2/39 Gallons Bags. This was very disappointing. Especially when you can't prove it , Thats why they don't want you to see the total weight That's a real motivation killer for my Kids. read more
