My husband and myself hired this Roofing company to replace a metal roof back on March 06,2020. Albert Pruitt a sales representative for Kent Elliott Roofing provided a quote that included Ridge Vents on this quote. I am currently having some interior work being done and the contractor noticed that there was a bird nest inside of the attic with baby birds. The contractor also noticed that the inside of the attic was lighted up and also notice a foam dangling from the interior of the roof. Kent Elliott Roofing installed a black foam called closure vent which is hold up by a tape. Well this company failed to inform us that the glue from this tape will disintegrate within time and will need to be replaced. I contacted Kent Elliott Roofing on April 17,2024 and spoke with Kevin Pruitt he informed me to contact the office in the morning and speak with Rebecca. The next day i contacted the office and spoke to Rebecca which was very rude and i informed her there was no need to be rude over the phone, i requested that she have the owner of Kent Elliott Roofing to come by my house as i was very upset with the material that was used on my roof. The owner came out to my house and i showed him the photos of this closure vent that they used and it had fallen out which this is how the birds were able to get into the attic and build a nest. He stated that he didn't see a nest up in the attic i informed him to get inside the attic and he will notice the nest and he can also hear the baby birds which he agreed there was a nest with baby birds. The owner then stated well ma'am it seems that the foam from the closure vent tape came apart and it needs to be replaced and this will happen about every 4 years. I informed him well my quote states that Ridge Vents were to be installed which tells me that your company didn't install the correct material. The owner stated I will do you a favor and go to the Ballinger office and the San Angelo office and see if we have enough closure vent and get it replaced. Again i stated that is NOT what the written quote states. He stated i will contact you once we can come over to correct the problem. Kent Elliott Roofing came by on May 12 without a phone call or anything, I was out of state and my daughter was working and on a phone meeting when the roofing employees came by. I contacted the owner and informed him why was i not notified that they were coming by and if they can reschedule when i am home, he stated that Rebecca was to have contacted me and notified me that they were coming out I stated no call was done and he stated they cannot reschedule. Well my contractor is till working and informed me that the staff of Kent Elliott Roofing left the birds nest and baby birds in the attic. This is INHUMANE. I sent a text on April 30,2024 and informed the owner of Kent Elliott Roofing that this was the last message i will be sending him. I informed him that his staff left the birds nest and baby birds in my attic and that was INHUMANE of this company. I also informed him that his company DOES NOT stand behind warranty nor workmanship. Is this the way Kent Elliott Roofing treats the Military Verterans by taking advantage of their hard earn money. He replied back stating he was in Sonora getting lunch and that he will get in contact with me next week. Well guess what NOT even a phone call, text or email. Please DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY OF YOUR ROOFING NEEDS THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY THEY GIVE OUT. read more

We called Kent Elliot and they were right on top of it immediately and even called in an extra crew to get it knocked out within two days and kept us on track for closing day. Be aware of this company!!! I have had this company to replace my roof in June, 2016. Their work is very poor to crappie. The shingles did not look even so I called the project manager after few weeks asking why it does not look seamless. The guy called Bryce S. from company said it will stick over time so I took his word and moved on. On January 19 or 20th 2019, we had small thunder storm in the area and I saw shingles were on my back yard and some on street. I noticed they were from my roof so I called the Kent Elliot on 1/21/2019 to report the incident since it was only about two and half to three years since they replace the roof and still under warranty. They said they would cover 5 year or something like that at that time. A lady name Beverly responded my call and told me that they will send their repair guy to inspect and repair next week Tuesday or Wednesday. But 2 weeks went by and no one showed up to repair or inspect. So I called again and again. Finally after a month or so, some one came and put some patch in the middle of February 2019. Now in March 2019 again, there were small rain and wind on March 11 or 12, and I have lost 15 to 20 shingles from my roof. I called again on 3/13/2019 and again talk to lady name Beverly and reported the incident and stated my frustration with their work. She said she will send her roofing guy whenever the weather is clear and she will call me. Today is 3rd day after reported incident and weather has been clear last couple days but I did not get a call back from her so I called again to check the status. However, there was other lady picked up and she told me Beverly is not at work today and she does not know anything about my repair schedule so asked me to call back on Monday. At this point I am beyond frustrated with this company so I do not want to deal with them anymore. These guys are pretty pathetic. Their work is crappie and very irresponsive. To my standard, these guys should not be in business anymore. Hope any new home owner reads this before engaging these guys for roofing job in DFW are. read more

Kent Elliott roofing showed up at my house while I was gone without an appointment. That wouldn't have been that big of a problem except that I was told they would be back the next day. They didn't show, so I called. I was told they would be there the following week on Monday or Tuesday and that I would receive a call to confirm. No call, no show. After so much rain, we had a leak on a rental property we owned. Kent Elliott can out and said we needed to replace both skylights and repair the roof around them. This was finally completed 4/30/18 at the cost of $795 to remove shingles around skylight; remove and replace rotted decking; replace 3-tab golden cedar composition shingles around base of skylight; remove broken skylight lens; reseal around base of skylight. I turned the property over the professional management in July and in November, they had Hartman Roofing make emergency repairs to the same area that cost $1,300. Hartman's informed me that the decking was rotted around the skylights and there was some patching which he almost fell through. Hartman did everything that Elliotts did and more. The only thing they didn't have to do was replace the skylight lens. I had no recourse since the RE company used a different company to make the final repairs. But I would never, never recommend Elliott roofing to anyone! read more
