CurliQue is the retail storefront for the Blanche MacDonald school that does hair, makeup, nails,…read moreetc. I go here because the store carries some brands or products within brands that you cannot find elsewhere, for example, Lit glitter glue and the Makeup Forever kohl eyeliner pencils. They also carry the Deciem Ordinary line, which is good to know as the actual Deciem store on Granville often is out of stockof many products. What really sets CurliQue apart from Sephora or the department stores is that they are super inclusive and hold all kinds of free workshops. The staff at the store are super diverse (minorities, LGBQT friendly) and super friendly, although you generally have to approach the staff for assistance. Several free workshops are held here every month. I attended the Kpop beauty workshop. They gave us each a clipboard to record notes on and passes around all the products during the workshop so we could swatch and test the products ourselves. The workshop was really informative and the presentation style was super fun. I qm definitely coming back for other workshops!

I was looking for a place that sells Morphe brushes and I've finally found it!! I was greeted right…read moreaway when I entered and they directed me as to where the brushes were. The lady who was helping me with the brushes was very nice and she was knowledgeable. I was looking for a particular brush but they didn't have it. She suggested a few brushes that are similar to that brush which was very helpful. At the end of it, I bought the E27 (first brush I initially wanted to buy) and M433 (suggested by the lady who was helping me) blending brushes. The prices were great and inexpensive. Can't wait to try the brushes and will come back again if I ever need to stock up on Morphe brushes!!!

I have NEVER had bad service in this store. And I visit it frequently. The product lines are superior and lovely. The owner is very pleasant--always. Imagine the surprise when I discovered that when I check in on Yelp at the store I get a gift!!!! I was super excited to discover that the gift was a Korean brand of sheet mask! Yes, it may only be one sheet but it's worth $10! Wow! What a treat! I also found some Sailormoon related makeup too! Too cool!

Despite the snow fall, my fiancé drove out to this store since it was the closest, to quickly grab a pair of falsies for me. The store closes at 6pm and it was only around 5:10pm and the doors were already locked and the lady at the counter was completely ignoring my fiancé as he was knocking. The product was literally right by the entrance and he was ready to pay in debit/credit but after much knocking, the lady finally opened the door only to say "WE'RE CLOSED" three consecutive times at his face. Wow, was that necessary? She could have at least been more considerate and polite. All my fiancé knew was that they close at 6pm (even for New Year's eve hours) and that the doors may just have been shut for some reason. They can't even be bothered to pick up the phone. Until they significantly work on their customer service and manners, or lack thereof, I do NOT recommend this place.
