This is a good choice for a breakfast or lunch sandwich or meat pie in the Docklands area. The north side of Victoria Harbour has mostly moderate to expensive restaurants. The south side base more affordable eateries. Kenny's is located on the south side of the Harbour. It's a small chain franchise with several locations in Melbourne.
They call their sandwiches "salad rolls" instead of Banh Mi. They cater to Western preferences so most of the options are traditional like turkey, tuna or salami. You can get a breakfast sandwich also. It uses a Subway format and you can get what you want on your sandwich. I got the traditional Banh Mi with roasted pork for $7.70 and it was good. Decent bread and fillings but the standout was the pate which was awesome. I also got a steak and mushroom pie for $4.80 and it was great. Much better than the meat pie chain (PF) and less expensive. The service is great and the people are nice. It's like a Vietnamese Subway with better rolls and fillings. Kick ass meat pies too. Check it out. read more
