Chose an "experienced" nail tech what I think may be the worst set.if nails I've ever had. Appointment for a set of Gel-X nails. No prep of the cuticle, several applied crooked, lumpy and thick application, and not the color or shape requested. Manager offered to have them removed for free. I spent over $100, didn't feel removing them was the right answer. read more

So I go to Kenneth's for my hair and my nails, so I'll include both reviews here. For my hair, I've been going to Tyson for years now. My hair ends up looking AMAZING and he listens super well to my incredibly vague requests. I always get the highlights and cut every 8ish weeks, and I've never been happier with my hair. Definitely recommend him for all your highlighting needs! Now, for my nails, I literally look forward to my nail appointment SO much. Often when I'm having a bad day, I'll choose to think about my next nail color, and my next chat with the best nail tech ever, Dawn. My sister and I get our nails done together with Dawn and Olive, and it truly gives me LIFE. Everyone at the Fishinger Kenneth's is amazing to be around in general, but Dawn is my go-to every time. I've had troubles in the past with getting pretty damaged nails when I get gel so often, but I've not had this experience since I've stuck with Dawn. She gets my whole nail coated, keeps my nail edges so CLEAN and her work is literally 10/10. She also helps me with nail colors when I go in with nothing but a vibe in mind, for all you indecisive peeps out there. I could not recommend any nail artist in the Columbus area more than I recommend Dawn. Finally (for anyone out there in the same boat), I have dermatillomania, and used to go at my nails and cuticles pretty hard since I was 12, and the gel nails have literally stopped that in it's tracks, no longer am I insecure about my fingers, and my nails look GREAT. read more

FIVE stars to Charity who did my extended wear manicure. She was careful, pleasant, quiet, and my hands look fantastic. I stopped going to Kenneth's a few year ago but I got a gift certificate for Christmas so off I go to spend my 50 bucks. Same old Kenneth's. Greeted by a receptionist and go sit down. Your service provider will do the best they can to juggle you and the two other people they have booked( hair appt norm). For me, my appt was 15 minutes late getting going which happened the last time I went to this location inMill Run. I don't get it. Don't make your staff accept late appointments that throws off their schedule for people that do arrive early or on time. Offer me another provider or at least say, it's going to be late. Nope, just let us sit there and wonder.... In my opinion, it's past time to stop overbooking your clients . People know they aren't the only one being done by one person ( hair appts ). It's rude to clients and stressful for your staff. On time appointments are the key to rebooking. And, is it maybe time to rethink the whole black outfit, perfect makeup dress code ??? read more

I strongly do not recommend this place. If you care about cleanliness, professionalism, or your own safety, find another salon!! I had a terrible experience at Kennith's Hair Salon. While I was getting my hair done, another stylist came over to my hairstylist and started talking about a woman who had been chemically burned by a bleach treatment they did. Apparently, she was coming back to get her hair fixed. This made me extremely uncomfortable. Then, while cutting my hair, my stylist stopped to help another client who had walked in for a touch-up. She used the same clippers on that client without cleaning or disinfecting them and then went right back to using those same clippers on me! This is a huge hygiene issue, and I was shocked by how careless they were. I strongly do not recommend this place. If you care about cleanliness, professionalism, or your own safety, find another salon. read more

The salon interior looks straight out of the 80s and is filled with horrible unflattering fluorescent lighting, so I think your experience really depends on the skills of your stylist or esthetician. I was looking for a new colorist and a close friend of mine, who has gorgeous hair, recommended Bryn. She was absolutely lovely and I am really pleased with the color. I will say I was surprised by the price considering I got a single process color with no highlights (they add $35 for shampoo and blow dry as a separate service charge). I think a bit too expensive for the overall experience, but Bryn did a great job. read more

She has been nothing but nice and has never been judgmental for my hair choices (I am not one to go get salon products usually). Terri did an awesome job with my signature facial with perky eyes add on. Nice, clean, quiet room with warm towels and cozy sheets, and streamers and such equipment. She gave a nice massage and explained every step, details about the facial products, and was cordial throughout. Perfect way to wind down after a long day or to get perked up, you choose. I recently got a mani/pedi with Charity and I ABSOLUTELY loved it! She actually took her time around my cuticles and made sure they looked really good! With the winter weather, and cold and flu season it took a few tries before I was able to enjoy my treatment. Winter weather had me rescheduling my original appointment and then my massage therapist was ill the second time. Third time was a charm though, and Lisa was great! I arrived and the front desk attendant got me right back to the locker room. I got a steam bath. It was alright but not something I would do again. By the time the shower steamed up and got comfortable it turned off and the steam dissipated. Once I got robed up and went to the waiting room I was only there for about three minutes before my masseuse, Lisa, came to get me. I got an aromatherapy massage. I got to choose the scents, where they could be mixed. Lisa did a spectacular job and paid special attention to the areas I requested and my tight spots. The hour flew by. After my massage Lisa had water waiting for me to re-hydrate. She gave me coupons to use on products in the lounge or for a facial. Check out was smooth. I would like to go back again but it was a bit pricey and there are so many deals on Groupon that one can get cheaper services through. read more

Jae. That is all I need to say in this review. I went in nervous and as a new person, got a better one. We always think chatter makes a great experience, but if so, go to Great Clips. Jae knows me when I come in, knows how we work my head drama. It's not just that. She is now one person that I would miss to talk to. Here is the rub, I ALREADY WENT TO KENNETHS! I love it, however stumbled upon Jae, who listens, and more importantly has skills. Such a happy accident (not my hair you silly people). She and her salon are so very peaceful, comfortable and calming. I'm so relaxed when I leave that I sit in my car for a bit to ready myself for the trip home. Terrible experience, My stylist was Jasmine refused to listen to my request for long layers (which is why I booked the highest tier stylist) and instead she proceeded to give me a literal one length trim taking off barely two inches... it took 2 minutes and she then proceeded to try to show me how to keep my hair up in ways that wouldn't cause breakage for 15 minutes. It was the most insulting salon experience I've ever had. 120.00 service for something I could have gotten anywhere else. End of the day and she probably wanted to go home. I made an appointment for a trim that will only take less than 10 minutes to complete. Arrived early, check in at front counter. I waited at least 30 minutes before I went back to the front counter to ask regarding the process for appointments and expectation. No one came to tell me if the stylist was running late or if anything happened that may have caused her to be delayed. I was left in the waiting area waiting. This upsets me as I am sitting down, I see other guest come in shortly after and are greeted and are taken away to the back for their appointments while I am still left waiting. I was not given an explanation. This is the second time this has happened to me and I do not feel this is good customer service or how customers should be treated. I understand things/situation may arise, however, as a business if you are behind on your appointments or running late wouldn't it be your responsibility to let your customers know? I wouldn't mind if someone came to me to let me know but I was left there waiting for 30 minutes. The first time this happened was months ago and I actually waited an hour before I said something and was told this wouldn't happen again. This horrible customer service. read more

I received a gift card for a hair service, and the initial stylist unfortunately did not meet my needs (to put it kindly). Kenneth's handled this situation wonderfully; after meeting with management and a master stylist, it was determined that, in fact, my hair needed help, so I was refunded my initial cut and guaranteed that the next "fix it" cut would be free. I was paired with Tiffany, who talked me through how to best tackle the situation. She was calm and confident, understanding and reflective, and clearly a master of her trade. Pros: very nice atmosphere. Welcoming staff. Products available to buy. Close to home. Good location. Great stylists. Cons: pricey. Review: I go to Ruba at Kenneth's and absolutely love her. So much so that I am willing to pay more to go to this salon verses finding a less expensive place to have my hair cut and colored. Ruba is one of the only stylists I trust my hair with, and she is one of the only stylists who get my cut and color on point every time. The only other stylists I love moved out of state. Ruba cuts my hair, does color, and I also have her use a hair protection product when she lifts my color. She's professional and decently priced, though I still drop about $200 when I get a cut and color with the protective product. Worth it! I only gave this facility 4 starts because of the overall price. But hey. My hair looks great, so.... read more

I booked 2 pedicure appointments 4 months ago for the day before a vacation. The day of my appointment I get a text "sorry, your appointments cancelled you need to reschedule". I call to reschedule and am told they have no appointments and I'm just out of luck. This isn't the first time Kenneth's has canceled one of my appointments the day of and did little to nothing to try to help accommodate. At the end of the day it's just a pedicure, but when you have plans made and have things lined up, it's really frustrating to be disregarded. First time at the Spa/Salon. Wasn't impressed at all. Was greeted by the salon staff rudely. My facial felt very rushed and the employee seem to waste time talking instead of actually preforming the services I was paying for. She took too much hair on my brows off, can't fix the missing hair. :( I had specific request for my message and the staff member didn't follow my request. I spent over an hour of waiting before and in between my 3 services. The dressing rooms had towels on the floor and the hair brush they have for you to fix your hair was full of hair.
