The whole area is quite clean and convenient to get to. They mostly have Mandarin and Cantonese-speaking professionals there. Everyone can speak English as well. I used to go to the doctors in the Chinatown location in Manhattan, but then switched to this location. They used to be housed in a different building but switched to this new complex. The whole building is Charles B. Wang Community Health Center. This newer location is clean and modern compared to the old one they were housed in. My experience here so far has been great. I'm not too sure about how it differs from other doctors, but whenever I experience a health-related issue, I can contact them and I will have an appointment within 1-2 days. Sometimes in some cases, I've also been able to call in through a video call or phone call instead of appearing in person. They have been my doctors for over a decade and will continue to be for a while.

Im not sure why this doctor has such good reviews. He was recommended to me by my trusted OBGYN who…read morewas retiring. My doctor that was retiring recommended that I be seen twice a year due to a large cyst on one of my ovaries that needed to be monitored and screened again and other complications I had that required more tests. In response to my former doctor's request, Dr. Sarabanchong received my files. In the first few minutes of our meeting, he seemed friendly enough. But then he said, "I understand what your other doctor wants, I have and see the requests, but I will not perform any tests or pap smears on you today. I will only perform a pelvic exam.". The situation seemed very wrong to me. For him to just feel around inside me made no sense to me. My ultrasounds and CTs have already confirmed that I have a large cyst. What's the point? Did he just want to touch it? I wish I'd listened to my gut and bolted rather than thinking, "he's a doctor. He must know what he's doing." I nevertheless agreed to get up on the table. "Does this hurt?" he asked repeatedly as he pushed his fingers around inside me. It seemed to go on for too long. Then he seemed frustrated and pressed his finger against my clit asking "Well, does this hurt?" I pushed myself back and away from him to the other end of the table, tears streaming down my cheeks. His reaction was sudden shock, and then he asked" was it something I did?" Then he left the room quickly and never returned. ( or called, or checked up in any way ever again) Immediately, I remembered that I had told him about my PTSD. I wondered if he thought he could get away with doing this because of what I'd shared before the exam. The nurse should have been watching what HE was doing to me. She was in the room, but she was standing up by my shoulders and facing him not facing my body watching his hands on me, so she never had a clear view of anything he was doing to me. My state of shock was so bad that I had to be guided by hand to the desk out front by the nurse. I stood there still with tears streaming down my face as she gave me a date and made my next appointment with the doctor for me!!! She handed me an appointment card then I wandered aimlessly out into the street in full panic mode, still crying, my body knowing what happened but second guessing myself because of my past sexual trama, and angry that the nurse would never be able to confirm with me with what I knew to be true because she was standing by my shoulders, and not watching his hands on my body. It took a month for me to call and cancel my appointment. I don't know why but even calling the place gave me anxiety. I have since found a wonderful female doctor 2 hours away but worth it. And I'm back to my two times a year schedule as my other doctor suggested and my current doctor confirmed was ideal for me at the time. I've tried to put this all behind me. I've struggled with telling anyone. But ultimately, I wanted anyone looking up the glowing reviews to know that not all of us feel that Voravut Sarabanchong is an amazing doctor.

During my very first appointment, Dr.Sarabanchong took me into his office where we just spoke - about my life, medical history, goals (related to gyno health and children) and only after we spoke and established patient-physican trust, did we go into the exam room. I felt very comfortable and welcomed in this office. If I were to consider having a child, a concept that usually makes me anxious, I would immediately feel more confident knowing that I would be under the care of this doctor. Sadly, I've recently moved out of nyc, however, I fully intend to return to Dr.Sarabanchong for my annual exams.

Dr. Ogneva and her lead assistant Oksana are the best podiatry team in Queens, hands down. From…read morerun-of-the-mill foot care, to advanced procedures and diagnostics, the doctor has the experience, medical savvy and best of all, great bedside manner to execute all dealings with precision and care. I'm on the younger side, and began seeing Dr. Ogneva over ten years ago for recurring ingrown toenails. As a diabetic with hypertension, I was frightened and wanted to find the best local podiatrist I could see, without traveling too far. However, there were far fewer online reviews back then, especially for specialists. To compound matters, Rego Park and Forest Hills have a large senior population that depend on good specialists like Dr. Ogneva for regular care and advice. At some point, however, you have to take the plunge. So, eventually, I found myself sitting in NYUs waiting, surrounded by older patients, getting more anxious about my first appointment. Like that day, every appointment I've had with her since has been completely worry-free. And for all of you who have ever had an ingrown toenail, or diabetic neuropathy, or miscellaneous foot issues that require elaborate inspection and imaging, you know how painful/bothersome all of that can be. With Dr. Ogneva though, I often find myself looking out the window, daydreaming until she says it's all over. When you come to visit, her assistant Oksana discusses your reason for visiting beforehand, to give the doctor a better idea of what is going on. Once you're in with the doctor, she takes the time to talk out your issues, evaluate your symptoms and carefully examine your feet to give you a better idea of what is going on, in clear, concise terms. Best of all, whatever the circumstance or course of action, Dr. Ogneva is not rude, nor judgmental. She is a straight shooter and will give you a simple, clear-cut diagnosis. But whereas some doctors - you've definitely seen or heard of them - would rather lecture or berate a patient about health, lifestyle or activity choices, this doctor is compassionate, and looks to reach consensus with patients on better ways to approach their problems and possible causes. I rarely write reviews online, but recently, when I realized it had been ten years since I first started seeing the doctor, I thought it improper to not leave one good, informed review of her services. She is a great podiatrist, with a wealth of information on good health as well as proper foot care. She treats a variety of patients, as I have seen this past decade; more and more people of differing ages are coming in, with injuries, rehab issues and an array of lower leg problems. Most are friendly enough and, in the elevator ride down from her offices, discuss how lucky they are they found her. If there is any downside to visiting Dr. Ogneva, it's that there is usually a wait period to visit her. As one of the most popular podiatrists in the area, she must see between 30 and 40 patients a day. However, if you're diligent, work with the front reception desk - in person or over the phone - and eventually, develop a good rapport with Oksana, you will learn why she is so busy. And you'll never look for another podiatrist again.

Dr. Yelena Ogneva did not do a proper assessment of my feet. She was unable to proactively and…read moresuccessfully identify the issue(s). Dr. Yelena only recommended foot insoles, without seeing how I walked, what my alignment was, or whether I had inflammation and where the inflammation was. Her only recommendation was needing feet insoles. I had to pay a mini fortune for these, which only fit into 1 pair of sneakers I had to purchase. I had to go up a size and my feet would swim in these, exacerbating the other issues going on which she failed to diagnose. In addition, when i asked for them to cut the insoles, I was told to contact the company that made them, and the company told me to follow up with the Doctor instead (triggering another expensive appointment). Months later, I found another podiatrist who fully assessed my feet, identified and is treating the issues. I was told to toss the insoles from Dr. Yelena as these also outdated, and overpriced. For the price of what I paid for that pair, I was able to get 2 insoles (one for sneakers, and another for regular shoes) NYU doctors are extremely expensive for the type of service provided, and after consulting with a few, I will never go back.
