Imagine if you will. You start a new job knowing very little about the intricacies of the different…read moretypes of insurance policies businesses have to have particularly those dealing with city contracts. The new boss wants you to "organize" the various policies he has for his (multiple) businesses. He says, "here, this is my agent. just email them what you need." I decided an email wasn't going to cut it and made the call instead. I needed a real conversation to understand which policies he had, which he needed (i.e. workers comp), and which he no longer needed (like for the storefront which closed over a year ago). I made the call. Genevieve answered. And then my world changed for the better. Genevieve helped me successfully navigate the six existing policies, remove two, and add three more. Words like aggregate, "millions of dollars of liability", underwriters and "user fund assessments" were thrown around and Genevieve made sense of it all for me with super speedy turnarounds. So, after all this do I know a lot more about business liability insurance and workers comp policies? Well, I have a much better understanding of what aggregate means, and best of all? Genevieve made me look good in front of my new boss. And if they can dissect, interpret and arrange all these different kinds of business policies as well as they did for us, I have to assume that someone's personal auto insurance would be a cakewalk for them.

Yet he continues to charge my HOA monthly dues and the banking system he set up is so convoluted that we can not figure out how to stop his monthly draws. I recently received a notice from the water company on my door that we were thousands of dollars behind on our bills when I've never been late on a bill in my life. We were on the brink of having water and electric turned off because of his carelessness.Turns out that Ted recently changed systems and did not migrate all of our bills over to the new banking. We also discovered that he did not properly migrate over all members monthly dues so we were way behind there as well. Ted did not answer phone calls, text, or emails for months and continued to collect checks.

Home insurance, family health insurance, Business liability and workers comp policies - Riskguard have got me covered in all of them. And it's really a pleasure to still see a family run operation thriving in SF these days. Geoff, Christine, Kelson and the whole Riskguard team are all absolutely amazingly helpful. I really enjoy working with them, because not only do offer excellent customer service (they shop around to get their clients the best possible coverage at the best possible ricing) - they actually go above and beyond and make me my family feel like part of their family. They pick up the phone (what a novel concept!) and answer your questions right away, they will call or email your insurance carrier on your behalf if you have any issues - the team are just incredibly helpful. It's a side of business that sadly is lacking from many companies these days. As said I've been with them 20 years - shame on me for not writing about them sooner - I plan on being with them for another 20 plus! Thanks Geoff, Christine and Kelson and all!

The team at Riskguard researched the heck out of our options, gave us great advice, and provided the documents we needed for our contracted partners. They did it once to set us up and they've been there for us every year since. We've only had a couple of claims. Both times Riskguard walked us through the process and the insurance company they had recommended stood up for us in a powerful way. We work with many bureaucratic and institutional partners and none match the quick turn around at Riskguard when we have a question or need a document. I can't imagine that anyone would find a better insurance broker than Riskguard.

Pedro offered to quote me over the phone but I was in the area so I decided to stop by his office so we could expedite the process. When I walked in Pedro greeted me and made me feel welcome by asking me some basic questions about myself just to get the conversation going. After going through the application, I let Pedro know that although price was extremely important, I had never had an agent that was as friendly as he was. Pedro then informed me that he was able to get me a lower rate with Farmers while also providing me with more comprehensive coverage than I had previously. He was then able to get me a larger discount by adding my renters insurance, which turned out to only be a couple extra dollars a month. Overall, it was a great experience and to this day Pedro has been nothing but helpful!
