They take good care of you but the appointments are so hard to get and they work only 4 days a week. Usually, they'd schedule the next two appointments in advance and for any reason if you have to reschedule, it is impossible to get in. They are minimally staffed and their hygienists run the show. The doctor is mostly not there or if he is, he doesn't come in to check on you, They have managed so far because of established patients who are maybe reluctant to change and that's why I stayed with them so long.

Got me in for an exam within days. Dr. Kohli listened to my concerns, and we decided to tackle my two problem teeth and do a cleaning to get me cleared for my knee surgery. I needed an extraction and a crown - not simple stuff! Debbie mapped out a series of appointments, and we were able to get everything done within a month's time. Their sedation is an oral tablet, not IV, but after having it, I was very happy as it made these two large procedures a breeze. We finished up with a cleaning, and Rose was awesome as well. She took the time to read my file and talk to me about the process, which eased my nerves. She was efficient and kind. They also use text to communicate, which I love and is very convenient.

The reason why I've chosen Dr. Donesa as my primary dentist is that I've seen great reviews, and my insurance was accepted at their practice. When making an initial appointment, keep in mind that it may take longer than a usual appointment because they'll need to take x-rays and go over your dental history. When walking in, I'm always greeted by Girlie or another staff member. They still follow covid protocols such as taking my oxygen levels and temperatures and signing a paper. Also, the waiting area is nicely set up with seating available if you need to wait a couple of minutes. When it is time to go to the back and see Dr. Donesa, Girlie will guide you back and have you step on a sanitizing mat to clean the bottom of your shoes (which I really appreciate because it adds to the cleanliness of the practice). When Dr. Donesa checks my teeth, he is always careful and informs me if there are any areas that I'll need to work on and pay more attention to. Granted, he's the first dentist that actually told me how to effectively brush my teeth to prevent cavities. And when the appointment is done, Girlie always hands me a toothbrush and toothpaste :)

This review is for the office staff…read more When I first scheduled my appointment, I was told they would check with my insurance to confirm whether there would be any out-of-pocket charges. I received no follow-up until the day before my appointment, so I called to reconfirm. I was reassured that I had nothing to worry about -- that my general cleaning and check-up would be fully covered by insurance. On the day of my visit, right before the x-ray, I asked again if there would be any out-of-pocket cost. They had me wait about 20 minutes in the x-ray room before returning to confirm that it would be 100% covered. Based on that assurance, I went ahead with the procedure. Two weeks later, I received a bill for the x-ray...!! When I called to ask about it, I was told it was ultimately my responsibility to understand my insurance coverage. But as a patient, there's no way for me to distinguish between a "basic" or "preventive" x-ray -- and I relied on the office's guidance. To make matters worse, the bill they sent had my name spelled incorrectly. That kind of error, along with the misinformation, does not inspire confidence. I also wonder why a non-preventive x-ray was even billed during a routine cleaning appointment. If this was just a standard check-up, why was the x-ray categorized in a way that isn't considered preventive and therefore not fully covered? It's not about the amount of the bill -- it's about the lack of reassurance, accountability, and transparency. The doctor and dental hygienist were just okay, but after this experience, I don't feel comfortable coming back.

I happened to find Dr Cheng on yelp and as I reviewed the comments they were all positive. Booked my dads appt and he was happy with the office. He said everyone in the office is very nice and their cleaning is excellent. My dad is very critical and when he told me this I decided to book myself an appt. I went in and experienced the same experience my dad did. Everyone from the front office to the back office were friendly. Christy took my X-rays and she made me laugh and engaged with me as if we knew each other for a long time. Dr Cheng reviewed my X-rays and he is wonderful. Very down to earth and excellent attitude towards patients. He answered all my questions. I can't forget to mention Diana who helped me from the beginning to set up my appt. She uses text to communicate with me and I love it! I didn't know how to see if I still had coverage after I retired and she said she can call for me. She gave me the run down on my plan and she also booked my appt. Dana the dental hygienist is one of 3 in the office. She did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. She took her time and made sure she got all the plaque off my teeth. She does a thorough job at explaining rationale and process. I highly recommend this office. I am a very happy and satisfied patient.
